Might as well throw in my 2 cents here :) I liked this thing although I found it a little bit tricky to strike the right balance of feeding to keep both coils happy. But when it's on, it's on. Interestingly, I got a pretty good vape at lower voltages out of this thing than I'm used to in dual coil cartos.

The review is here if anyone's interested: Dual Coil Atomizer Review

Good review, totally agree with your findings. Seemes to be that they like most to be dripped, right up on the bridge, in order that then gravity does his work to get it down to both coils. I think that is why it works best for me with a pumpcart, right on top of the bridge without touching it, but the drops fall right in the middle of the bridge, and I get a perfect saturation with liquid at both coils.
If dripping, this is too much for me, three drops or it is flooded, and then after just a few pulls it is dry again, and if the drops are not falling right up the bridge, it gets out of balance.
BF didn´t work for me, I believe like somebody whrote, that the juice doesn´t find his way to the upper coil.

Thanks StotheK for your well done review, as you allways do. Love your reviews.

Hey Bruce,

Do you think it would be worth asking your manufacturer whether an even lower ohm rating would be possible? I've seen dual coil cartos at 1.25Ω, and am just wondering whether a dual coil atty at a lower resistance were also possible, or would even be worthwhile.

I've heard that the sweet spot for vaping is 10 watts. At 3.7 volts, an atty with a resistance of 1.37Ω would be right on the money. 1.25Ω @ 3.7v is around 11 watts, a little too hot. 1.5Ω @ 3.7v is about 9.1 watts -- pretty close, but I would be interested in closer. Two 2.8Ω coils in parallel would give a resistance of 1.4Ω, about 9.8 watts @ 3.7v for the win.

What is your opinion? Worthwhile, or waste of time?

Edit: Actually, never mind. I just talked myself out of my curiosity. This might be worthwhile if one could guarantee the output of a battery to be a constant 3.7v, but voltage will vary slightly depending on a battery's charge. 10w @ 1.5Ω requires a voltage of about 3.9v, which is probably about what a fully-charged 3.7v battery would put out anyway.

at 3.7 volts, this atty is drawing about 9.12 watts, with 1.23 amps going to each coil and 4.56 watts per coil.

Jump up to 7.4 volts, the atty is now drawing about 36.51 watts, with 2.46 amps per coil and 18.25 watts per coil.

I have bought two of these and dare not try them at 7.4 volts. I would love to try them at 6.0 volts.

At 3.7 volts and 9.12 watts, I have to say that flavor is better than a standard (2.3ohm) Joye 510 atty (5.95watts @ 3.7volts) with about the same vapor production. No throat hit at 3.7 volts, unlike a LR Joye 510 (1.6ohm) which is too hot for my liking with 8.55 watts going across a small coil with limited surface area.

The thing to remember is not to only factor in watts for that perfect vape, but to take into consideration the area and number of coils. More watts doesn't necessarily mean burnt juice, in fact if you scale up surface area of the coil proportionally to increasing watts, then you just end up with more vapor production and more juice usage.

I do have to say I'm enjoying these, and recommend at least trying one.

I've been using one of the first 2 that I've bought at 6V on my Reo Mini...it's still cranking out like a champ with no noticeable fall in performance. The other one is on my Reo Grand at 4.8V's and has been for a little over a week. I really am enjoying these.

Bruce, are you going to lift the limit on these or do I have to keep making multiple orders? I'm replacing all of my atomizers with these. I only have about 10 more to go...LOL.

Hello, I just received my dual-coil atomizer in the mail today and decided to try it out. Is it me or is the draw very very tight? Mind you I'm using this on my Reo Mini.

Update : Think that there is something wrong with the atomizer, very tight/stiff draw although I could still get it to fire and cook the juice. I barely get any vapor but some of the flavor is there, is there any way I can loosen up the air flow?

Mine are fine..not tight or too airy...put a ticket in with Bruce and let him know about it. Have you tried it on another PV?

Actually, I tried drawing on it without putting it on any device and I can safely say that something is wrong with the atomizer as the draw is very stiff, like as if someone had put a clump of tissue in the atomizer. I've been looking forward to using this atomizer but now i'm stumped, isn't there someone at CoV that checks these products beforehand?

They are clearly marked as being the first gen product. Just be happy that you aren't using a darwin and you experience flavor bliss one minute and get an error message suddenly just to have it work again. They are so good that I keep trying it over and over again. I need to get a new mod ASAP. I would try letting it soak in everclear for a hour before you let it dry. That might fix it. At least it works for me some times. Don't be bad at bruce it has been a month and I haven't seen anyone with them yet. Being on the cutting edge has some downsides but the reward can be great. IMHO this duel coils are amazing so glad I tried them. Just need to find another vv mod that can work with them.

It is not about being "bad" to Bruce but instead it is being honest. If this atomizer turned out to be a dud, that is inevitable and based on a percentage, but a constricted airflow is something that can be discovered before it leaves the showroom. Based on what I can observe (without ruining this nice atomizer), I believe that the side holes are being "nearly" blocked by the inner tube, which is very probable as to why I'm getting the lack of airflow. Or possibly there might be too much wick inside the atomizer, but either way everclear and soaking it won't help from what I can see.

From the little flavor and vapor that I got out of these, I can tell that they are great only if I can get the proper airflow going with these. Now, I did sent in a ticket to solve this issue and I hope that he will get back to me as soon as possible. Speaking in terms of happiness, have you ever used a Joye "Yeti" 510? and as for the new mod, why not try out a Reo? I've been using mine for over 7 months now and I've nothing bad to say about it.
