Hello all, my name is Rhonda and I want to try the electronic cigarette, but am so confused as to which brand to get. Any suggestions would be so very helpful. ie. style, cartridges, length of battery and cartridges. Thanks all for you suggestions in advance.
Hi Rhonda. I am obviously no expert as I haven't even actually gotten my first ecig yet, but like every purchase, I researched the hell out of these things. This forum, like every corner of the internet dealing with ecigs has almost too much info for a newbie. From what I've read, here are the major things I have discovered after digging through the masses of info:
1) There are tons of different "brands" that sell the same exact product under a different name. I wanted an ecigarette that looked like a cigarette, so "pen styles" were out of the question. The NJoy NPro was the best. Turns out this is the SAME cigarette as the Super Mini at Totally Wiked dot com (I can't post a link due to me being a new member to the board). However, even though that is the USA based version of that site, it says it comes with a UK plug, and that wouldn't work for me. So, in other words, don't just jump at the "big name brands" you are paying for the ads.
2) The ecig has three parts: The battery, the atomizer, and the cartridge. The battery is the battery, don't think I need to explain. The atomizer uses power from the battery and turns the liquid nicotine contained in the cartridge into vapor. Try to buy several of each (as many as you can afford as it seems the battery life is variable on all models and atomizers last from 2 weeks to 2 months).
3) Puresmoker dot com seeks to be advertised alot as being THE store to buy accessories from, but has VERY few items in stock.
4) Your first kit will come with pre-filled cartridges of varying taste, power, and vapor production. It seems almost unanimous around here that buying liquid nicotine is the best idea. You can then take a few drops of that liquid and put it into an already used cartridge or put even fewer drops directly onto your atomizer.
I find this guy to be an amazing asset to the world of eCigs:
(again, can't post a link, but go to youtube and search for a guy named "igetcha69").
He has reviews, but also tips/tricks and I emailed him two separate times and got responses within hours.
OK, any of the experts can correct any of the above, but I think my research has made the above 4 points fairly legitimate ones. As far as what kit to start with, thats a matter of preference, but I needed one that looked like a real cigarette.
