How can you tell what wattage its set at?
There are numbers printed on the circuit board around the adjustment potentiometer. There are lines from each number extending (6, 7, 8 & 9) which angle in towards the pot for more accurate location. 5 & 10 are hard left and right respectively and those numbers are printed on the circuit board too. One of the cross-hair (phillips head segments) has a dot on either side of the line to designate that line as the pointer.

FYI…..Information received……..restocking Kick’s to US Distributors starting this week and hopefully others outside US in a week-and-a-half. Darwins are awaiting a very delayed component, hopefully should be running boards by weeks-end or early next week.

Hope this information is helpful…

cos, there's no telling who will have their stock ready for sale first, but I would assume that Evolv will likely ship to all the vendors that carry them around the same time, so they should all be fairly close together. Drew is pretty good at getting things up on the site quickly once he gets them, so even if he's not the first he won't be far behind ;-)

Kat, I hope you manage to snag one this time around :)

Well the replacement I got in last week lasted about 5 days before it took a crap as well. Have it turned all the way up and it performs as if it is turned all the way down, tried various positions but no change either. Good thing I still have one from the first batch that is working perfectly or I would not know what to do with myself... lol
Guess it's time to send Brandon another email... :(

Wow fright88 that seems light on the batt life. Are you on the high end of the kick, meaning the 9 - 10 watt range???? I know lower ohm stuff will drain batts fairly quickly for me if using the kick or the Darwin. Seriously, with the calis I am at 2.5 tank fulls so 7 or 8 mls at least. I am in the 10+ml club also and run several PV's but I just changed out the cali on the ghetto Bolt and that thing went from 6am to now. Granted I did hit two Darwins and a P+ throughout the day but I did fill the tank on the Bolt 3 times and it is just over 1/2 full right now. Do you have more than one Kick to compare? I do have two and they are both behaving the same as I have listed. When you dial the Pot up and down on your Kick do you see a noticeable difference in the amount of vapor? Do you have one of those screw on Volt meters to check what the kick is pushing out under load. I know with my two using 2.7 - 2.9 ohm stuff they are banging right around 5.2 volts under load. Happy vapes

Well I am glad you posted here. I was able to try a different kick and the battery life is almost double with it. The odd thing is my kick stops working at 3.6v the other stops at 3.2. I thought it was a problem with the connectors but I get the same results even after I cleaned the brass contacts and the copper spring. I put in a contact form ith Evolv maybe I will be lucky and they will agree to take a look at it!!

fright88,

Mine stops working between 3.6 and 3.7. I've tried the same things, but to no avail. I'm running mine in a AW IMR 18490 powered SS Don with a 801 atty I picked up at NHaler.com I'm unsure of what ohms it is, it's not listed on the site.

Please let me know if you find anything out.

Well from first contact it looks like 3.6ish is normal as 3.6 unloaded should be about the same as 3.2 under load. That being said I am wondering if the tester (my dad's kick) is either a) slightly more efficient for some reason or b) the safety cutoff isn't working correctly. One thing I will say is my dad's negative spring sits better then mine does. His sits up and down and looks like it is getting a good contact. Mine is sideways so it kinda makes contact at an angle. Maybe that is what is making the difference.
