Ok Drew I see that the starter kits are still available. I was good and did not place an order for all the single kicks I WANTED so that others that did not have one would be able to get their first. I figure 6 hours on the site was long enough so I just picked up a starter kit. The purple batts rock and I needed some anyway :).

YOU rock. Always the gentleman.

Yeah Liv

That Starter Kit is nice, I got it the last time around, batteries really came in handy.
Happy Easter to you and everyone on the Forum. I guess I wait until the next time, glad people who didn't get one last time was able to score this time.

Happy Easter Darlin. Now you have been around long enough to know, that I know you have to work some afternoons and have that crazy bi-weekly schedule going!!! I have a couple stashed away for you. I couldn't remember how many you said you wanted so I held 3...Just send an email oir give us a buzz later...We will be in from 12 to 4 est today to get all the Kicks mailed so hopefully some folks will get theirs on Monday and most by Tuesday...
One thing Ive learned is people don't like waiting to get Kicked!!!
I hope you and your family have a great Easter!!! We are having our annual (family) Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow so I have to go around and clean the yard to make sure Baby (my pet Bloodhound) doesn't leave any "special" surprise Eggs for the kiddies!!! Ugh!!!!

I'm so bummed I got my kick this morning it worked for about 10 mins then died checked the atty checked the battery and they are fine, it's the kick
Not saying anything in any direction, just offering some tips in the hopes of being helpful. the kick has very sensitive short-circuit protection. You might check a few un-obvious things. Clean all your contacts (make sure no juice residue in connectors and/or adapters. Adapters are known for shorting so if you are using one, make sure it is in good condition and clean, try different attys/cartos, do not tighten any atty/carto past finger-tip snug. check the device you are using it in to make sure it is on the verified list on the evolvapor.com kick page. make sure you did not install kick reversed (I am not sure but think this could possibly damage kick). make sure the threads and inside of tube are all clean from any possible powdercoat and possibly gently resand internal of tube to ensure good ground contact. An atty can have a slight short and still fire on other devices but Kick may detect even a slight short and activate the short-circuit protection preventing it from firing. make sure you try others (preferably one or two new ones).

Remember, kick is the first module to be made to go into a variety of different devices - this simple fact creates many variables the manufacturer cannot control. Conductivity is the primary issue and there are many many conductivity points between the battery and the full pathway of the power. Any interruption can prevent kick from firing - safety protection for users and the kick. If all of the above does not change your situation, then contact Evolv on their website contact-us for further assistance. Hope something in this post is somehow helpful.

Just got mine and it is very accurate...was aiming for 5V under load and 8ish watts got me to 5.1 (thanks Darwin, for saving me the math!) so I turned it down a bit and got exactly 5V for my 2.9ohm SC carto. Maybe will go a little tiny turn higher for my 1.5/6 DC cartos. Wonderful device. Gonna try it in my acrylic MV mod, I know it's not listed but it does have a ground wire, it just may not be narrow enough.

Edit: Works in the Bolt, not in the acrylic mod or Indulgence without modification, as they are too wide for contact of the ground coil. Not a problem!

These are good points... Also keep in mind that we have VERY few actual problems with the Kick....More problems with the issues mentioned above.
Dont get me wrong , it could be the Kick but it is more likely the other issues...
Also dont assume that if you take the kick out and your atty and mod work with a longer battery that its the Kick. The Kick can be sensitive in certain mods and may not work or shudder, when a normal battery will...You will hear it turn off and on several times. This is almost always a connection problem...Let us know how you make out and if the problem continues, please send an email to CS@EVolvapor.com for assistance. Thanks

Is the diameter of the Indulgence to big for it to grond properly.
What do you have to do to get it to work with the Indulgence?

It is and I'm not sure...I am sure there could be a work around and pretty sure somewhere on ECF someone has detailed their fixes. Sorry, I'm too lazy to look for you right now but maybe someone else will chime in. Or Evolv might even give you some ideas, never hurts to ask.

My Kicks got here today, too. Bravo Zulu on your shipping, Drew!

Running one at 8-ish watts (dailed in to "warm enough") with an 18650 on a double-extended Bolt.

Have to say, this makes for a great vape for a total of about $80. Now I'm just waiting for PureSmoker to come out with the Legend Standard XL and I'll be set for a while! Well... until the next big thing comes out, anyway. ...

Double extended Bolt! Ahh....genius! Thanks for the idea. Now I Need another black extension as now I have one red bolt, one black extension and one "burgundy" extension that CCV so kindly sold me while describing it as "red". grr...

One more word of whatever - the 19.5 mm internal device tube diameter is listed on the Evolv Kick site for a reason. Jerry-rigging/shimming/etc to get the kick to work will probably void the warranty and may also break the kick. The kick is designed to be used as specified on the Evolv website. Shimming can angle the Kick and removal (to charge/switch batts) repeatedly can cause undue pressure at angles for which the kick's multiple board layers (with various solder points) is not designed to withstand.

Those of you who know my posts know that I follow certain devices closely (and I am certainly an Evolv enthusiast). I am not confrontational and limit my posts to helpful intent. But I have to say that I have seen many posts of people using the Kick out of spec (not in accordance with he very specific instructions listed on the Evolv site) and then they wonder why they are running into problems. Then, when they break or fry the Kick, they seem to expect Evolv to fix/replace and ship all under warranty when those using out of spec fail to accept responsibility for their own out-of-spec usage. Personally, I find these practices dishonest/immoral/unethical (but that is just me). If I root my cellphone and brick it - IMHO I have no claim against the provider or manufacturer because I damaged the phone. The kick, when used in accordance with Evolv specs, is a great module. I have several and was a tester from day one. But I am amazed, and disappointed, to see how many insist on using it out of spec, expect Evolv to "make it right" after their own screw-ups, and then post they had "problems" (usually not even mentioning or taking responsibility for use out of spec).

Sorry gang - just felt like this needed to be said. I am NOT pointing at anyone in specific (so please - no one take personal offense) - just feels like this needs to be in a thread at least somewhere.

Happy :vapor:

@ Drew (Cracker Jack Man) Package(s) arrived today. Thanks!!!! All 18xxx Mod's are now KICKED.

@ Vapian - Yes the Ghetto Bolt Rocks. I have been running that set up for sometime now and as you stated for the price it works great. I wish they had the paint texture a little closer in match for the extenders though. But for the price it can't be beat. At 8 - 8.5 watts it does the trick. Be careful above that since the wire gauge to the 510 connector is so thin on those that around 10 watts you can over amp it. Happy vapes to all the new Kicksters!

I'm running a Red Bolt with one Red and one Black extender. Reminds me of a cyclopian Little Orphan Annie with a black eye :) but it's kind of cool.
