Got the letter from customs today, bas###ds have seized my stuff, not freakin' happy, even though prices here are double what the US charges I'm buying from Canadian vendors from here on in.
Can't believe it got stopped,my first one ever, and the vendor sent it "Canuck style" too.

RTS? I know they ship nic "canuck style". Sucks that it was siezed though. I've been buying from suppliers in Canada myself to make my juices. It's more expensive, but at least I help support our home-grown vendors, even if I have to take a bit out of profits to do it.

Not RTS,it was from Nicvape,I purposely don't make expensive orders from the US because of whats just happened, the letter intimates that it'll be returned to sender if there was a return address which i would assume there was, upon its receipt I should get refunded.
I too wonder how it was discovered beings that it was sent Canuck style,I'm also thinking that if i try to buy stateside again it'll get stopped again, maybe due to my postcode being flagged?
I'm spending my hard earned at home from now on in.

I seen a bottle someone got from NicVape and it is no wonder it got pulled.. First off the name... second their idea of canuck style is an idiots way of doing things the lazy way... I would not use that company as reason not to order, just a reason not to order from them.

I'd just like to add that the Canadian vendor needs to tell you where he got his nic-base from.

Actually their shipping is very professional and discreet. Always got their stuff through.

I help support our home-grown vendors, even if I have to take a bit out of profits to do it.
I would care if it were made in Canada, but it's just marked up Chinese or USA goods. I go where the price and service is good. I'd rather save the money myself than give it to any middlemen, irrespective where they are from.

Yes,hopefully just the shipping ($15),I've e-mailed the vendor to say whats happened but I haven't had a reply yet,if it's returned to the vendor like it says it should be then that vendor better refund me or it'll get messy:)
Although it's always possible the package got tagged by the usual routines, in most cases there was something about the packaging or label that set off an inspection. In over 2 dozen US and Chinese orders I have never had anything not go through, but then I instruct the vendors ... more often than not they just don't know.

The pros in foreign packaging and shipping are hands down GreenHouseOne. It doesn't get any better than that, although they are very slow.

The NicVape vendor will charge you for re-shipping. It's up to you to instruct how you want it shipped, incl. all cautions. They are not responsible for CC's actions, this cost you will have to bear. You won't get any refund, not a chance, since they cannot re-sell it. Once it leaves their depot, they have no control over tamperings.

As to my nic not getting re-sold,mmmmmmmmm.
I wouldn't accept a re-shipment to me either for the very same reasons. That's why nic always comes from vendors who are beyond reputable. Anything CC intercepts ... it's theirs.

Point #2 ... if CC flagged it, chances are they opened the bottle for testing. Who would resell that?

Just wondering, what would customs use to test the liquid for nic content.

No idea, but they'd have to open the bottle. Nic testing Kits can be bought at ebay and several other companies and they involve sampling the liquid. A chemist would know best.

I'd imagine if the bottle label indicated nicotine they wouldn't have to open it.

in reply to postal codes getting flagged i don't think they do that, way back when i started i ordered some disposables from v2 cigs, they got sent back, v2 called me and resent them when they got returned and i received the exact same package they sent the first time no problem.
You never know when they'll start implementing that. And I doubt it would be limited to postal codes if & when they do.

So if the label indicated the bottle contained nic, they probably wouldn't open it right? If they did open it would CC be obliged to tell the vendor they had done so?
So the nic goes back to vendor and he does what with it,pour it down the toilet?mmmmmmmmmm
Also, who pays the shipping back to the vendor, sure as hell ain't me,the government?

No idea. If the label indicates nicotine content, that's all they need to reject it, as per the applicable act.

Nope.

Pretty much. No vendor would be crazy enough to resell it.

Also, who pays the shipping back to the vendor, sure as hell ain't me,the government?
Not sure, since different shippers may have different policies.

I try to order during high volume shipping times. Xmas, Easter, and such. usually they get backed up and bulk release packages on a regular basis. RTS is awesome for packaging and shipping list labelling. My last order was 3 minutes in customs according to CanPost tracking. Week before Xmas and got to me in less than a week total. 2 years supply for me.:toast:
