It may be useful in the future to transfer your nic concentrate to clear glass bottles, storing them in a solid container. A little light exposure when opening the box will be worth the ability to see the color of the liquid over time. It also allows you to verify the lack of color when initially rebottling into glass.
I wish my long-term stash was in clear bottles like the samples in this experiment, but I'm not willing to re-bottle it either. Since it was all argon-purged when it was originally bottled by NN, re-bottling now can't possibly do it any good.

That said, if I were buying nic in bigger, plastic bottles I and re-bottling it myself, I would definitely use clear glass bottles to allow me to evaluate its color every once in a while without having to open it.

And I wouldn't bother wrapping those bottles in any light-blocking materials either. My little dedicated nic freezers don't have lights in them, so I'm confident it's quite dark enough in there when the door is closed.

With the mild weather I decided to buy a few 120 ml bottles of the VT premium nic today. I’ll do a bigger purchase in November when weather is cooler.
Since that ships in clear PET bottles, please take a pic of it in front of a white background when it arrives. I'm curious whether the heat it experiences during transport will have visible effects.

Thanks to this thread, that’s the only brand I’ll be buying going forward!
Just to avoid any misinterpretation: I wasn't trying to endorse any particular brand of nic here. It's just that VT uses packaging that's convenient for the purpose of these trials.

Absolutely, it’s the least I can do after all your hard work. If I haven’t already thanked you, then thank you very much! [emoji4]

Very reasonable shipping costs!

Any guesses if this is the lowest nic will go in price?
What, would you like some stock tips too? ;)

I stink at predicting prices on anything. Prices on bigger batches have been lower. I remember VT offering their "Throat Hit" nic for $30/liter for a while. TBH, I've never worried about the price of nic; a liter lasts the average vaper three to five years. So does it really matter whether you spend what half a carton of smokes would cost, or what two cartons of smokes would cost?

Good point! Especially with the cost of cigs in CA now. I was just thinking last night how nice it is that my entire family no longer contribute to BT’s profits

BTW, how much of a punch does the Throat hit nic pack? Is it like “woah, this is different “? or more subtle?

I don't know, I've never vaped it. Some of my samples in this thread are their TH product, but I bought them primarily because they were less expensive than the "Premium" nic.

Wait, didn't I just get done saying that I've never worried about the price of nic? Well, OK, I meant for my personal stash. This was for science --

That said, most who've tried it have liked it.

After seeing the photos it was a no brainer for me to go with the premium nic, which will go in to glass bottles right after I take the pic, of course ;-) weather is projected at upper 70’s this week, so not too much heat (unlike 101 last week, ugh!).

Sorry for all the multiple posts, I really need to multi quote. Anyway, I knew you weren’t providing recommendations, I came to my decision purely from the results

BTW, any recommendations for a freezer? Or are they all relatively similar performance wise? I’m ready to buy a nic freezer now and would like some pointers/suggestions
I got mine from Amazon (one here in FL, and one up in PA). They're 2.1 CF upgright. Functionally identical to this one but a different brand name, plain white, and I paid under $200 back in 2015. Lowes & Home Depot both have some bigger ones (5-7 CF chest-style) in the same price range, but I wanted something small enough to fit under the desks in home offices.

@mikepetro had a source with some really good deals.

Thank you, sir. I like this one (having a lock is important to me with a 5 year old living in the house although I suppose I could install a Master Lock) but will probably wait for a better deal.

Yep, very similar to what I have, but a bit bigger. The so-called lock takes what I'll call a 5-sided allen key, which I suppose is entirely fine as a means of child-proofing it.

I'd recommend buying small when you first try the throat hit nic. I got some from Nic River to try for pods, and it's completely different tasting and feeling than fb. It may have more TH than other salts, but not near enough for me, compared to fb. It's not a bad taste, just different, and feels different to vape. But I'm a guy that absolutely needs TH to be satisfied.
