Ahhh okay, from the video he posted, it looks like they were using it to refill a tank. And yeah, I've used my refilling tool to switch cartos, so long as you don't have the flanged kind you just pop the bad one out the bottom and pop the new one in the top, with the refilling tool in the middle. Easy peasy! I guess I couldn't see what else that tool offers over a standard refilling tool for a cheaper price so feel free to edumacate me. :D

I agree with you. I've changed cartos many times using the SYM and that method.

I don't know that it offers anything other than I can use it to seal my 35mm tanks without bothering to take the juice out. It comes with the SnP which is the only reason I've got them. It works, I just don't think I'd buy one separately at the price they want.

CP, you are an absolute doll. Thank you so much, you have NO idea how much I appreciate this...
My ability to obsess over searching for the best prices and figuring out the best setup for me right now, are severely hindered right now by a lack of time....I have some time at work, but I hate surfing web pages on my phone and can't use my work computer for it. At home, I have the computer, but when I'm home with the kids, forget it. (That's generally why I go MIA from the thread around 6pm every day ;))

My hardware collection consisted (in total) of two Tritons (which was 2 808 batteries and 2 clearos), the Vamo, one Aspire Vivi Nova w/ a 510 connection, 1 Aspire Mini Vivi Nova (the 2ml kind) with an 808 connection, a Kayfun clone, and an Igo-L. In the last week I have lost one complete Triton and destroyed the other (well, only destroyed the second battery, but that renders the clearo useless because it won't work on the Vamo). However, I did find that if I put a 510 head in the 808 Aspire mini, it will work on the Vamo because it threads onto the ego threads and the pin is long enough to connect.

So I am good with toppers, as I usually stick to only one or two flavors a day, and have the dripper in case I crave something different...but it's just making me incredibly nervous to only have one functional device. Even if I do have a bunch of backup batteries for it, if this goes kaput, I'm kinda done for, because we only have two B&M's around here and they're way overpriced.

So anyway, thanks SO MUCH again!!!!! :D you rock!!!

I'm gonna check all this out tonight after the kids get to bed, and I'll probably pick something inexpensive up now, just in case, and then wait for payday to get anything else I want.

Awww you're welcome! I have 7 battery mods now (9 if you count my 808 cig-a-likes) but my mom & sister are still using eGo batteries exclusively so I stay on top of this stuff for them, best prices, best functioning, and what not. So the above are what I supply myself and my other (non-NT) family with. :thumb:

BTW, you might consider picking up a 510 to 808/901* adapter at some point too for using your 808 threaded devices on the Vamo and other 510 mods. I couldn't find any at aquavapor (where the winder batt is) as that's where I previously got mine there, but madvapes has them for as little as $2.49 so I can't imagine your B&M, no matter how overpriced, being able to charge more than $5 apiece for them. But who knows, I've been wrong before.

But then again, on rereading your post, it sounds like you've only got the one clearo tank with an 808 connection so probably cheaper to just change the head like you did... unless of course you've got a lot of 808 aspire heads you wanna use up.

*808 and 901 are the same threading.

PS I'd offer to send you some stuff but my 3 eGos are what I use on the go, and my mom and sister tend to inherit anything I'm not currently using.

Wow this place went bonkers when I was off researching the Origen V2. Welcome new people! Don't forget you can make Naki's blend by mixing CB/CLS. It's like 3 juices for the price of 2!

Also all you bottom feeders (or soon to be, *cough* Meg). Vapingcraze just confirmed that the V2 will be available in a bottom feed config.

Oh, crap. Another new shiny I've got to check out. Will March ever get here.

This is really difficult. I almost pulled the trigger last Friday when VapourArt and Domo both had the Paps X in stock, but I survived without doing it. Now Domo has them available again. Hope he hurries up and sells out of them. It's testing my principles.

Shek posted this battery calculator in one of the co-op threads and I thought it'd be very useful to the peeps here since y'all were just doing these calculations the other day. There's plenty of interesting stuff down below too so scroll down. :)

That is cool. With it you can change cartos without losing any juice. I would think you could do the same with any carto if you were very, very careful when pushing it through. I am going to try it next time I change a cart. Thanks for posting Buzz, although I have to admit, I had no idea what you were talking about at first. Do you have auto correct enabled on whatever you use to post? I have seen some of your posts that were really unfathomable to me and others where they are perfectly spelled etc.

Yes it's auto correct. And I'm at work posting sometimes with the boss near by so I just type away and what you see is what you get lol

At the risk of being drummed out of the Family, I am going to play devil's advocate for a moment. I for one, do not do much roving in ECF because so much of it is irritating or repetitive. I go outside the Family when I want to see many differing opinions about something and I do browse some of the specific threads about DIY or vapegear. So, that being said, unless someone were to post in here about the "best of" thread, I would not have been aware. I am only 8+ months smober and into vaping. I wasn't here last year and I didn't even know there was a "Best Of" award thing.

On this thread, we were encouraged to vote for our favorites. We were not told to vote for any NT. Because the originator of the thread is a Family member, we were aware of the poll. Many others were not. So, it was skewed in that sense. There is no way around that.

Clark browses different threads and is very ECF savvy. There are other Family members that do the same. We benefit from that in a multitude of ways, at least I do. I can say that the other juice manufacturers need to be more on top of their game and add a link to the poll on their threads. It only makes sense to let people know a poll is in process, Right? Since they didn't, many of the votes were cast by Family members. I say again, it was skewed because of that. If we didn't love the juice and the customer service, we would not be Family members. Therefore, our votes are going to reflect that.

To be totally objective, there are folks here who do not rank NT as the top in all flavors. I am sure their votes reflected that.

Anyway, to shorten this post cause I am very long winded: The poll was skewed because Family was a dominate percentage of the voting pool. We love NT juices. NT won. We love the customer service and all three of the NT crew. NT won for best vendor.

It was skewed, it was also valid, IMHO. So, my response to posts like this custard reviewer would be just that. Just cause we turned out to vote doesn't mean the results are invalid. It is good, nay, GREAT juice and deserves all the honors it receives. I think it is a losing cause to fight the validity of the poll. Random sampling? Please, this isn't a scientific poll.

Not entirely true. At the time I started it I had never been on this thread and never tried a NT juice. I was in a battle with someone from another thread about my rules. Minutes before this battle I had gone to several different threads posting that the awards were taking place, not just here but all the vendors I felt had a chance. Also several I didn't. I, honest to God, tried to make this as fair as humanly possible. I can say there was no "skewing" on my front. The juice and company that were best won. I just so happened to remain here because of the people. There is a very diverse mix of folks here and each is great. I now only bounce between here and my posse. I tried to leave here to help out someone with a question and I quickly learned that there are to many asshats out there.

Welp, I did it! Ordered the MVP2...came with 2 iClear16s, and it's the latest version with the ohm checker and the 'new' carbon black finish for $45 shipped! (not sure how new it really is, as I'm not on top of this stuff). Was going to get the itaste vv now and the MVP later, but it didn't come with any toppers, and I wasn't sure what would fit on it. Now I know I can get the itaste on payday and the 2 iclears that came on the MVP will work on it :) yay

I dipped into the rent money (eek), but I have some furniture I need to sell on Craig's List and I figure this will motivate me to do it. I thought it was worth it to get this because if something happens to the Vamo, I'm terrified I would buy cigarettes out of desperation.

I'm really excited :) :) :) I always wanted one of these!!

For those of you that have it, am I does any 510 threaded topper work on it?

Thanks again CP for the advice and the nudge ;)

I stand corrected and apologize profusely! I had no idea! I made assumptions and you know what that does. I am very pleased to know this now. Like I said, I don't get around much anymore so my frame of reference is limited. I am gonna ask questions in the future rather than jump to conclusions.

Yes, any 510 or Ego threaded topper should work.

Hey everybody!

My older sister came over for dinner! Hadn't seen her in forever, so I made her favorite leek and potato soup, rice, lamb and beef tenderloin shish kabobs w/ a cucumber mint yogurt sauce, and some baklava, all from scratch. Took forever to make, but everything came out rather delicious without tooting my own horn.

Best part was after we ate she started putting her coat on because I normally have a cigarette, and we go talk when I see her. I told her I quit and that it's been over a week since I had one. Her jaw dropped and gave me a hug, told me how happy and proud of me she was. Greatest feeling!

Hey, thanks for stopping in. The folks here in ECF (and elsewhere) are rabid - nothing short of zealots. I've never met a more loyal or passionate group of people in the vape world... REO, and Provari being the possible exceptions. Ahlusion might be a close comparison in the eLiquid world.

I don't know if CLS and or CB are "the best." Again, taste is subjective. I'm not butthurt about not being included... I'm not sure I would have known to proactively contact a blogger I've never met. No expectation that the whole field of custard should be included, but I figured I would be since I sell more custard than most 9 out of 11 of those vendors combined. I was surprised is all - anyone who googles Custard eLiquid is staring directly at Nicoticket - it's hard to miss me. ;)

No worries - just don't be surprised if the crowd grabs the torches and the pitchforks - people who vape NT regularly aren't customers, they are family... I'll pick on my little sister all I want, but if anyone else lays a hand on her I will junk punch them. :)

Nicely done, very mild. I composed a response to the response in my head, and it was similar, though I'd planned to show more teeth on the "how the heck does one reach out to something not known to exist?" How you make a list of Custards to apply your expertise in ejuice judgment and exclude (or overlook) one with a huge following on a large forum dedicated to the subject eludes me. Then I did some math: Responses to a blog are views to a blog, views and hits lead to computations relevant to revenue for advertising, etc., and I elected not to contribute relevance to irrelevance.

Not entirely true. At the time I started it I had never been on this thread and never tried a NT juice. I was in a battle with someone from another thread about my rules. Yes, and there are also shills, posers, and wannabe's all over the place. I'd venture to guess there's probably a dozen members of this family with diverse juice tasting experience that exceeds the qualifications touted for that blog, and they landed here, not as an exclusive source of product, necessarily, but the favorite one. That speaks volumes, and has proven to be "meaningful" to my tastes. I think I'll do a blog.

Just so we're clear... I actually have no problems at all with Nicoticket or any of you guys. In fact, I actually really respect the fact that you are loyal enough to the product and company to spend time in this thread, and get defensive if someone says something negative about it.

In this particular case, I wrote a post comparing various custards, and didn't mention a word about Nicoticket - positive or negative. Kent took it upon himself to leave a comment declaring his custard the best based on an unofficial poll in which to my knowledge their custard won with 50 total votes. Up until that point, I hadn't really thought twice about the Best of ECF Poll, but since Kent brought it up, I felt compelled to share my opinion. Which is just that, my opinion. For obvious reasons, I wouldn't expect anyone reading this to agree, but that's ok. My point is, had Kent not said anything, I probably would have not thought twice about the Best of ECF poll.

Nicoticket's Custard may well be the best custard out there. I don't know because I have not tried it. Almost every eliquid company has a custard flavor, and I only compared 11 of them so far. That is a pretty small drop in the bucket. Had they reached out to me and asked to be included, they would have been. I'm not looking for any free handouts, and I pay for almost every juice I review out of pocket. That said, there are a lot of juices on my list to buy, and this particular one is not a priority for me at this time, although I have to admit my curiosity has been piqued. Chances are, I probably will pick some up in the future to evaluate, and I already fully intend to do another custard battle as there are some really obvious ones that were not included the fist time around. Bottom line - don't get upset that you weren't included if you didn't make any effort to get yourself included. If it's on me to do it on my own dime, then you have to wait just like everyone else until I feel like it. There are a lot more vapers out there interested in custard flavors than the 50 who voted for Nicoticket, and I am more interested in catering to a broad range of people who aren't sure what to buy rather than a small group of people who already have made their decision.

And most importantly please note that I will approve and reply to every comment left on my site, so if you intend to stop by and say something positive or negative, you are more than welcome to, but please expect that I will likely have my own opinion as well.

Here's my thing. You knocked the poll. I'm not a custard guy, heck I never even tried Kents. I'm just a vaper that was trying to do the community a favor. I found that the winners of the poll were always solid juice. I'm not a fan of Bobas so I can assume we have VERY different palettes. I do however like the majority of the other winners. DaBucs and myself worked our asses off to put this all together. All the while, I had a faimly member who we weren't sure if he would survive... and to be honest were still not sure. There are new "complications" weekly. I tried to get it done on a day we weren't driving to go visit. I had spent a huge amount of time going through and tallying votes.. checking the companies spelling... ect. At the very end when all was finished I tried to post the results. I couldn't. I set up picture hosting. It didn't let me saying some error message... to say I was frustrated was an understatement. Than to go and see how you went and were talking bad about our work... maybe you needed to hear my side to understand.
