pretty much all the same for me, just a matter of more or less
When I started vaping, I knew that I wanted to try DIY. I bought nic base from Good Prophets (I have no idea where they get theirs from) in VG. After a couple of weeks all of my flavorings sit unused or in the trash bottle and unflavored has become my all day vape. Enough about me, on to the nic.
I wouldn't call the liquid colorless, but its close. In 3 different bottles, it appears to have a very slight warm tone (pinkish-yellow.) Of course this may be attributable to the lighting in the room or my eyes playing tricks. I would hesitate to say it is flavorless as well. I've been vaping this almost exclusively for a week now and still can't figure out how to describe it. Maybe a 'clean' flavor? That isn't right, but its somewhere in that vein. Then I think that maybe it's like Vodka; flavorless but still lets you know it's there taken straight up. Either way the effect is subtle but extremely pleasing to me.I'm still a little sketchy on what TH is supposed to be like, but I would say that this nicquid has very little of it (100% VG.) I nuked some to smell it warm. I wouldn't say it has a fishy smell, maybe socks? but I have to sniff hard to pick up on it. Cold it has only a slight smell that ,oddly enough, smells exactly like it tastes even though I can't describe it well. And thats what I think about that.
ETA: Forgot to comment on heating nic. I really don't advise people to warm their nic, aside from placing a finished mix in hot water. A little too much heat on your juice can net you a nasty little nic vapor cloud you do not want smacking you in the face/nose/eyes.
I agree about heating in the microwave. Some, if not all of the ingredients produce flammable vapors (except the water maybe). WOW, microwave parts could hurt !!!
I have now added some RTS Nic to my stash (Rocket has RTS Nic?). Didn't smell like no dirty socks to me, but maybe my dirty socks are more toxic than yours. Haven't mixed it down yet, but will.
Wow. Point taken about the microwave. I never even thought about it, and this from a guy who won't even touch the outside of a 36mg bottle without gloves and his special mixing tray. I'm not so sure my bottle of GP nic is thinned. I store it in the freezer, but even after 30 min sitting out, it still takes forever to suck it up with a syringe. My VG for dilution (stored room temp) is about the same, but man, that PG sucks up as quick as you can pull the syringe. It's not chalky, but alkaline might be right on the money for the taste I'm getting.
welcome gravity groove
hope you catch the DIY bug, vendor juice is bad news IMO in so many ways
