"stuck in the keys" what a burden you bear! :p

And Cyprus i too love spring and fall ( favorite seasons by far), but with the miserable winter weather we get i have to embrace the heat when we get it and hope it carries me though winter! ;)
It sure isn't fantasy island. I gotta work! :D

Great thread/reviews - thanks Cyrus! I'm glad someone linked to it in another thread, otherwise I never would've seen it. It is a review thread, but it seems like it would fit in better in the DIY section, since it's about DIY supplies and it seems like most DIYers won't bother reading reviews of pre-made juice (I know I never do). Oh well, now I'm subscribed.

I need to get out and try some other nic.. I've been using WLR (and RTS before that). The price is great, and I haven't had any problems with it, but now I'm curious.

It's funny seeing people talking about the heat so much lately... I think it broke 60 degrees today (far north, coast of Cal.). When it gets up in the 70s it feels like a heat wave. :)

gents and ladies, is this thread in the wrong place?

what forum does it belong in?

class wife didn't like "flavor reviews' and it seems general e liquid reviews doesn't make much sense either to some of you....so where?

EDIT: seems like it would fit in better in the DIY section, since it's about DIY supplies and it seems like most DIYers won't bother reading reviews of pre-made juice (I know I never do).

I think that's a great point

Great thread CV!! And all that have contributed positively to the discussion.
My vote would be, yes, this should be in DIY. I only found it when checking latest posts.

I think it would be helpful as well if the folks that spoke up about nics that they liked or didn't like would say the names if they wouldn't mind.

I am nearing the end of my first bottle of nic juice. 500ml/100mg that I got from freedomsmokeusa. It worked very well for me but I don't have anything to compare it to since its the only thing I've used for DIY.

Does anybody know if they get their nic from one of these "big guys"? (Then I would know where I stand in this picture)

I have yet to read though this thread (why wasn't I invited..) but should do that soon. At a glance it seems to be yet another great thread started by Cyrus Vap. *****

Also, it is helpful if folks mention by full name at times, the product or matter they are referring to in the beginning sentence or two. There are so many acronyms, I have trouble keeping them all straight, at least in terms if 'instant recall.'

I've been using MyFreedomSmokes at 100 ml/mg for my base nicotine. 100% PG. I'll have to digest this thread for comments on this brand, but from a quick scan of some of the later posts, it didn't seem to be included in those favored. I don't have any particular comment on it as I haven't done much comparison. Xrteme Vaping has a nice product.

Thanks Cryus and keep up the good work!

Glad to have you breeze!

I have a "key" that decOdes the abbreviations somewhere in the beginning of the larger 7 way review a few pages back. Please point out anything else you want clarified

Charlz also confessed to me that my conclusion wasn't really clear as to what is best.

That is enirely by design. I wanted to give the Husserlian phenomenonologist in me some play time and simply "describe what is given" wrt to the vape in question and then take it a step further and relate compare and contrast

IMHO MFS is a great nic, but certainly may not work for some people.

The most crisp, least alkaline, least peppery while still retaining the most reckless TH to be had IMO is ECX, XtR and WLI.

That said I've been happily vaping MFS at 24mg for days now and love it. I use a dash of vinegar when I want to soften the alkaline taste and aroma

I actually don't know where they get their nic

To anyone that's having confusion on the lingo, please see the key :)

MFS MyFreedomSmokes
RTS RTS
VZ VapingZone
ECX Ecigexpress
XTR xtremevaping
WLR Wizard Labs
WLI Wizard Labs Ice currently in beta

I'm in support of moving this thread wherever you all like, I just don't want to nag Old Soldier anymore about it. And it still is a review of sorts, so I'm not sure they'd agree with it being posted in general DIY? I dunno.

As far as making it more visible, keep posting, and invite your buddies :)

This is not as extensive as Cyrus but...

First Thanks Cyrus. Im currently in apredicament as to where to get my next batch of base and I think youve helped me greatly in that department.

I used to get from Box Elder Chemical. I found their to be amazing...then that whole fiasco happened and for a long time they stopped selling nic base completely. Now its only in 100mg and I dont wantt o have to cut it down myself at this point...just dont have the sapce for that many bottles lol.

So I picked up some MFS nic juice. I like MFS as a vendor. Ive bought alot of gear from then and theyve always been very helpful if I ever had an issue. I plan to continue to get my gear from them, but...I found their nic juice had a strange flavor to it, my wife agreed. And though I could vape that juice, I didnt find it as enjoyable.

My next smaller sample will come from XTR to give that a try.

I mix only for my wife and I but will often take my mixes to meet ups for others to try. BEC worked well for that as I felt it dint add flavor of its own to my mixes...the same cannot be said for MFS nic juice.

Again, MFS is a great vendor in my opinion. This is just one product my wife and I do not personally care for from them.

ETA: Also the key was very helpful as some of us dont know all the different vendors. Ive only ever gotten nic juice from a couple places. I usually buy about 500ml at a time so it lasts me awhile.

Husserlian phenomenonolo-what? Boy, the things I learn about reading CV posts! Not that I'm sure I even understand at this point.

According to classical Husserlian phenomenology, our experience is directed toward — represents or “intends” — things only through particular concepts, thoughts, ideas, images, etc. These make up the meaning or content of a given experience, and are distinct from the things they present or mean

Well at least it wasn't just me Wolcen! And TY for the link. Not that it really helped... CV mentioned earlier in this thread Aristotle's Prior and Post Analytics so I knew this would be interesting!

But back to the subject matter at hand. And maybe this isn't even the best thread to pose this question in, but I am curious as to what the posters in this thread use as their go to PG/VG blend?

At one point I leaned far more towards the PG end of the scale to give me a little more kick on the TH scale. Although now that I do almost entirely DIY I find that using a quality Nic offers me more than enough TH, I get tons of vapor and I vape 100% VG blends. And if for some reason I need my juice to be a bit thinner I can just water it dowm.

So anyway I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Vidi, I'd be curious to see what results you get with the MFS nic by adding a little vinegar? I find it balances it, when I care to do so anyway, sometimes I don't

Wolcen...lol

Easy T: hows that ECX treating you?

I have been playing a lot with VG/PG ratios lately, and distilled water and PGA too. I don't personally find PG to give TH, but more a strange irritation, but I suppose it is a kick in its own right. But it does seem to make flavors brighter. I was trying to find a VG/DW/PGA ratio that could equal the flavor boosting properties of PG, and got pretty close. I need to keep playing with it though. Wasn't doing this for any reasons of PG sensitivity (I have none), I just prefer the taste, or lack of taste, of VG to be honest. I think I got close with 10% PGA and 5% DW, the rest VG. Still different though. The VG base seems to creater a richer, darker flavor, the PG a brighter, almost 'metallic' or solventy flavor. But the PGA does quite a bit to bridge the gap IMO, I think its the ethanolish notes in PG that are responsible for the flavor boost. I know a lot of people say VG mutes flavor, the way I think of it now is that PG boosts flavor (and adds some undesirables for me), while VG is more neutral and flat.
