Looks like that time is now.....went to the site and found I did not have the option to purchase the TH Nic.
They still have plenty but it hasn't been available on their website for a while.
I was told in e-mail today that VT TH 100mg/ml is available to purchase through e-mail @ $50/L

I wonder how long concentrated nic sales from US companies to individuals will continue. The deeming document makes vague reference to licensed buyers, so I'm assuming that will eventually come to pass. We are all fortunate to have had so many choices to date.

I'm hoping CASAA or AVA will have the folks to break the 499 page doc down to bullet points. The legalese of a doc like that can make your head hurt.

Til then, I'm staying calm, but writing lots of emails and signing petitions. ;)

I quit combustible cigs 28 months ago. Call me lazy but I order all my gear on line. All this talk about dyi and building coils makes me feel like I left the horse behind. This so confusing. I hope I have time to educate myself. I can't be left behind. All I wanted to do was quit smoking. Which I did. Now I have to do chemistry. Ugh. I just want to vape, I don't want a hobby. Damn the FDA. They are going to hurt a lot of people in more ways than one. Ugh....... believe in miracles?

No, you don't have to "do chemistry". If you can mix a drink, you can make your own juice -- provided you have access to nic.

I'm not sure what the right analogy is for building coils, but it's not rocket surgery either.

This is very true.

Buy yourself a scale that'll measure down to .01 grams ($16), find a good mixing calculator online (one that allows for grams), do a bit of research on some DIY recipe sites, purchase flavors, nicotine, base liquids (PG/VG) and mix away.

I've been doing it for a couple of years now; easy peasy.

Let's say I vaped 30ml a week.

If I were buying ready made e-liquid, I would calculate a cost of roughly $18 to $20 weekly; $1000 yearly.

My most elaborate DIY e-liquid recipe (8 flavors) costs me $2 week; $104 yearly.

It pays to have a hobby. ;)

All the talk about peppery, woody, etc. my brain was swimming. Thank you for the vote of confidence. Just where do I start? In the dyi section I would imagine. I really dont want to do this but I'm not going back to combustibles and I'm not buying BT's cigalikes. So I'll read a little , spend money for things I dont need, and eventually I'll be on track. Thanks Rossum......
Not sure why your quote got split.......

Ok I see some discussion about Wizard's Ice (which I still have) but am looking for a product that is very close to Wizard's Ice. The 3 to 4 year old Ice I have is still perfect and fantastic but I want to build up my storage as I have been using it for all this time.

If anyone in the know about what products are likely close to ICE as possible please let me know where to get it. I don't come to the forum much anymore.

IMO, some of the advice in the DIY section is more complicated than it needs to be. I could get by with nothing more than a measuring cup -- although I prefer using a 250ml graduated cylinder. Now some people would call my methods barbaric and imprecise, but I'm entirely happy with the results.

On the way to learning DIY, you might find that you like vaping unflavored, which is really simple DIY. I use a bit of flavor here and there, but I'm not picky beyond having a flavor concentrate I like.

My methods are even more crude than Rossum's. I sometimes even mix inside the tank, shake it up, screw it on and vape away.

Unflavored is a flavor to me. It's what I start every day with. Usually somewhere between mid-morning and noon I tire of it and go to some very lightly flavored juice. The closest thing I have to an ADV right now is a total of 21 drops FA flavorings / 30 ml. That's something on the order of 3.5% flavoring total. Could be more, could be less; I haven't bothered to see just how many drops are a ml and assume 20. That reduces my nominal 15mg nic to around 14.5; not really noticeable, nor is the effect on my nominal 35/65 PG/VG ratio.

I've been going more and more to my mix in the tank method. Often after a puff or two I make an adjustment if the throat hit is too strong or too light.

My 2nd most crude method - I keep a shotglass next to me, make a quick mix, suck it up with a syringe, shake, and I have a few refills.

I'm torn on what to do and when to do it...

I have about 7 years worth stored right now. 3 different brands. RTS/MFS/WL. I honestly can't tell much of a difference between any of them (MFS is the most peppery but I like it though it's circa 2013 so I'm sure they've changed since). I'm not very picky and neither are the other 4 people I mix for. Only 1 of my liters is 100% VG. I'm thinking that I should go VG with my final order because it will need to last the longest and awesome Kurt believes VG will last the longest. Who to buy from is a little more complicated.

Part of me wants to go the easy route and just buy Nude Armor because I can just pop it in the freezer as is. But $160/liter is a lot more expensive than most everybody else. VT doesn't have TH online anymore so I'm not sure about that. Heartland seems like a great deal @ $45/liter. I've never bought Heartland though. I assume it as good as everyone else and will store as well as everyone else but I really don't want to make a mistake on this order. It's too important.

Any input on the smartest way to go? I think I only need 2-3 more liters tops and that will cover me and 3 other people for 15 years+.

I have had heartland and it has an ashy smell\taste. Not a bad nic by any means. But I definitely taste it in some of my lighter flavoring mixes. nicotineriver.com has liters for $60 and to me is a more neutral initial taste for long term storage. They also have a gallon for $199. I am thinking about two liters from nicotineriver, 1 liter from nude, and another liter from carolina xtract. Carolina is my fave but it is pricey. I also have 4+ liters in the freezer of various brands.

It's funny that there's a diff on heartlands and e.g. NC, as they are both alchem nic. Of course there can be oxidation differences, but this sounds like more than that. Of course batchvariations isn't unheard of either ;) Granted, the only evidence we have of heartlands is nicselect, is that they used to use batchnumbers "tell-tailing" the origin(encoding), but after they changed to other internal batchnumbers, one on the ELR forum stated to have called nicselect USA quaters, and they stated they didn't do retail(lol, obviously), but to go to one of there provided vendors e.g. ECX, Nicvape or heartland(amongst others). Of course that person could be lying, but just sounds odd to come up with such a lie for no obvious gain...

However, I personally trust sketchness's taste reports :)
