I have used the regular e-juice(freebase) but I'm curious about trying the whole nic salt thing. Rather than buying a pod vape I was wondering if it would be a terrible idea to try the salts out in a VW mod? I was planning on upgrading to the new smok Mag Baby mod(I have been using an old Itaste MVP) and if the VW mode could allow me to use salts.
From what I've read about the salts, they are suggested to be used with low power(one site said ~16w) and a higher resistance coil(1.3ohm). Based on those setpoints the Mag Baby should be able to run salts safely in VW mode with the correct coil setup.
Am I incorrect about the Mag Baby mod being safe for salts?

You can run nic salts in any mod. They aren't special, they aren't designed for one setup or another. Marketing is hyping the idea of ultra high nicotine in weak delivery systems and going after that market. But, nic salts (other than throat hit) don't behave markedly different than other nic. There are claims of easier absorption or slower absorption (I think some depends on how they are made and etc., I just found this out).

The key is keeping your nic levels fairly consistent. Nic salts CAN (and often do) go sky high, but that is more an artifact of the lack of harshness/throat hit that enables salt juice makers to offer them in higher concentration..

I DIY nic salts at 18 mg/ml and use them in all my setups (though I am a MTL vaper). You could use them in sub0hm setups at 3 mg. Most folks at that nic level don't NEED less harshness, due to the lower nicotine strength in any case . But you can subohm with them, at the right nic level.

It's mainly a marketing thing, although the warning labels on 45 mg/ml nic salt JUICES are correct those juices are NOT designed for sub0hm vaping.
