I vote for Nicquid as the generic word for the fluid we put into our PVs. The word can easily be modified to indicate the strength of the fluid by prefixing a numeral as in 0Nicquid or 24Nicquid. If needed, was can also append another number to the word to indicate the VG content of the mixture, as in 24Nicquid50 for a 50/50 blend of 24mg nicotine PG/VG or 0Nicquid0 for 100% PG with no nicotine. Double zeros as in 18Niquid00 would show pure VG at 18mg.

So... who is going to call the Standards Board to make this official?

+1. I like it. Niquid. Why did that take so long?

Eh, it's no worse than ordering a soda down here in the south.

Texan to a waitress: "I want a coke"
The waitress of course inquires: "What kind?"
Inevitably the answer is : "Dr. Pepper"

See?

Nicquid!

LOL!! Learned my lesson on that one! Moved to Wisconsin for a couple of years from Texas. Asked the waitress what kind of cokes they had and she said 'coke and diet coke' and I wanted Dr Pepper!! Gotta love the South!!
P.S. Moved back to Texas when the last winter there got down to 50 below zero without the windchill! Time to go home!!

Interestingly enough (because I have a strange mind) all I could think reading this was "This is why Edo splintered off from Esperanto"...

I did a Google search for Niquid and found it sold by an outfit called Fumo (the Esperanto word for smoke).

As far as Nicquid.. Well, the first 3 hits were for people selling Nicquid (2 were the same site) the 4th was for this very thread! And then, under that, forum posts going back to 2008 using the term, but it seems to have fallen into disuse.

I say we bring it back!

This definitely makes sense. I've started using it. For some reason I can remember to type it more easily than I can to say it, but am making the effort.

I agree that in most cases one shouldn't get up in arms about terminology in general, but there are cases in which common usage makes a huge difference in the perceived context. In this case, the biggest reason I have for shifting to "nicquid" is to give those who would proscribe PV use on baseless assumptions and accusations less ability to lie further about them being "marketed to children".
