I smoked for 15 years, started using the e-cig 13 days ago and I still haven't gone thru the withdraws others talk about. No headaches, no cravings, no coughing or anything...will I ever get it?
I chain vape like a freak and I did smoke a pack and a half a day but no bad effects yet...other than I have no taste of anything right now and haven't had taste sinces day 2, but I will not go back to the anologs, I love this thing.

Smoked for 30 years, 1 PAD+ here. I was well and truly addicted to cigs. After vaping, the only withdrawl symptoms were what I would call a moderate "uneasiness" when I left the house for the first time with nothing but my eGo and a few cartos. Trying to quit using other methods had me climbing the walls within 24 hours! I wound up rooting through the garbage hoping to find a smokeable ..... Not very dignified and never wanted to repeat that little episode. It was wonderful discovering e-cigs!

I smoked more than twice as long, 1-1.5 PAD, and I switched pretty smoothly too. I felt a bit "off" for a couple of days (like how you feel when you think you may be coming down with a cold) but I just drank plenty of fluids and took vitamins the first week. No trouble at all and I am a chicken - I could never even try to quit cigs with pills or patches.

It was great - my sinuses cleared up within 2 days. I woke up with my nose clear and didn't need to cough. Make sure you drink fluids - vaping can be very drying. And if you are using 100% PG juices your tongue or throat gets sore from the nicotine, get some better juices with a bit of VG in them. I like 20% or less VG in cartomizers, up to 50% in atomizers.

Around 3-4 weeks in you make get antsy - if so just buy a new model to try haha. Most people try another model by the end of the first month.

I think some people will get some withdrawal symptoms, but not everyone. I didn't,but I also moved over fairly gradually, not all at once.

I also think that if you start with the right nic level, you are far less likely to have that problem. But it's sometimes hard to guess what nic level you need when you first start.

I am on Day 16, and I have had no withdrawals either. Once in awhile I get "curious" about analogs, and I have a pack in my car from before I started vaping. I have had a few and they taste too strong now. I take a couple of drags and throw it out. I also am chain vaping! I find I am having trouble getting tired at night and I am staying up way too late. Vaping RULES! What liquids do you like?

I was a 1.5 pad smoker for 20+ yrs. I cut back to ~5 cigs a day using a 510 starter kit. Did that for a few weeks then decided to take the plunge. Day 1 was fine, by the evening of day 2 I was feeling withdrawal and smoked one of my wife's cigs. That was the last cig that I smoked :). That one little patch of withdrawal was all that I had.

That is all awesome to hear and reassures me that I have nothing to fear. Thank you very much.
@Sandy I really don't know cause I haven't had the money to try different flavors yet from different companies but the one sampler pack I got from Juicy Vapor was ok, but like I said I don't really taste anything since i've started vaping. Looking forward to that coming back for sure.

Today is DAY 8 for me after 40 years smoking, and no withdrawls but ........ I am walking around the kitchen like I want to eat something but can't figure out what. I am craving meat, then I crave bread, but don't really feel like eating them when I see them (if that makes sense).
I still haven't found a good yummy juice so maybe that's it .....

I don't feel like I had w/drawls ... 16 days today no analogs. There are moments when I think about a cigarette during/after certain activities (and no I don't mean, what u probably think I mean LOL) if I just take a deep breathe and draw off my pv the thoughts go away. The longer I go w/out analogs the more the thought of an analog makes me sick to my stomach!

I smoked 1.5 packs a day for 35 years. I started vaping on Tuesday, Nov. 22 smoking about 50% and vaping the other 50%. By last weekend I was down to zero, one or two cigs a day and vaping the rest. I've been off cigarettes entirely this week and have no cigarettes stashed anywhere. They are all gone.

I'm using about 2ml of 24mg juice per day with the E-Power 14650.

Yes, I did have some withdrawal symptoms switching from cigarettes to vaping. There are other addictive compounds in cigarette smoke besides nicotine. I'm over that stage now and the nicotine I get from vaping seems all that I need. I still get the same stimulant benefit from the low-level nicotine that I used to get from cigarettes.

I started the E cig (just an 808 cig style) 3 weeks ago tomorrow. But it was more a new toy, just a once in awhile thing (like right before bed, I wanted a cig-but knew I wouldn't smoke the whole thing, this was more convenient). By that saturday, I only had 5 cigs all day. And that following wednesday (2 weeks ago exactly) I had 2 cigs (when my battery died). Haven't touched one since. And those tasted horrible too!

I haven't had any real issues, except that I had dropped myself down to about 8-12 mg of nicotine, depending on which flavor I had. And then I used the 24 mg that I had bought hubby for a day-and got really really shaky lol. Learned my lesson there!

My fave so far is cowboy by vaporbomb. LOVE it. It is great straight outta the mailbox and even better as it sits (but it doesn't get much chance around here!) I still have so many flavors to try though!
