Now read all the way to the bottom of the list of features.....WHY would you want your fallout/survival/ground zero shelter to be GPS located???????

Zombies can't work GPS units? I think it's supposed to help emergency crews (and not evil marauding hordes of bikers) to locate you when you activate it. Personally, my low buck version consisted of a freight container (cheap and large) sunk underground in reinforced concrete with air/power conduits running to strategically camo'd access points. Who looks inside a bunch of rubble for an air intake or at the top of conifers for solar panels right? The tough part is finding a good location for a deep well that matches the location of your shelter. Find that and you can incorporate a geothermal environmental control if you don't like 68 degrees F. Sometimes I get the feeling that I think about this stuff too much...

Yeah, lacking on the rich enough part for sure right now... Out of work for over a year. So the grand plan is on hold until I can keep enough money for, as another wise George said, the front rent. That's why the current plan has provisions for sacking a store or people who recently sacked a store... If the military doesn't have things quieted down after a couple days (which anyone should be able to hole up for), then there should be pickings available for the 'resourceful'.

I think any plan needs to first address how to go undetected by the FEMA wranglers. In any concentrated infection or natural disaster, people are going to be rounded up and shipped to FEMA camps around the country. People will be hunted down to try and contain and quarantine the situation. Suspected infectees will probably be shot on site by some scared kid in uniform and their bodies burned where they fall. Katrina was a dress rehearsal. Not only will we need to avoid brain eating zombies, but, our own military and gov't will be gunning for us too. Remember the evactuation and quarentine scenario of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind? Outbreak? Resident Evil 2? Escape and Evasion will be one of the first goals to achieve when the ZA hits. Drug sniffing dog's got nothing on them, they're supposed to have the most sensitive noses on the planet or damn close to it. lol well I'm thinking to be inside...behind the door...with the free roaming polar bears on the outside....that when when the crap goes down...well I'd have free roaming polar bears as a first line of defense...

granted after the crap dies down I'd have to figure out how to get out past them...but by then hopefully they'd be dead or bloated with the flesh of those that were trying to get in..

The big question is: Will they include civilians that aren't infected in the 'good side' or as casualties.

Number I read was 2.4 billion... So the way I'm looking at it... 4.3 billion gotta go... Aye... the sad thing is if you ruin the numbers the first place you have to nuke is India because it provides you the greatest causality to bomb ratio... too bad... lol....yeah...I was surprised to hear that about Toledo....because well it's freaking Toledo....
but it sits at the interchange of 80 and 75...and is close enough to 2 nuclear reactors and several power plants to do some serious damage as well as it being a major port on the great lakes..and close enough that the fallout would hobble Detroit...
