So why do YOU have a problem w/ anyone pointing out there preference to higher than 3.1v?

I don't have a problem with "higher voltage".
3.7V vs 3.2V is not a higher voltage, what considered a higher voltage starts from 5V and goes over 7V.

I have a problem, when people having fun misleading noobs using "voltage" card to steer them in some direction.

I'm still waiting for "...many resistence combinations as the 510." for 808.
Can you stand behind your words or its just usual blah blah blah?

You obviously should re-read http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/joye-510/65055-battery-voltages-surprise.html It explains in great detail how even .6v difference can have a substandial effect on the wattage, all other things being the same(ohm). I didn't bother to back up the fact that the same LR attys are available for the KR8 because it is common knowledge that LR DSE901 attys exist and that they work on a KR8.http://www.eastmall.net//Products/ShowProduct.aspx?pid=100000483 And furthermore it is comon knowledge that battery adapters exist. www.EastMall.net Eastmall International Co.,Ltd So therfore, through several different methodes, one can achieve the exact same resistance on a KR8 as virtually any other e-cig. Therefore, the KR8 has an inherent advantage of a greater WATT capacity than the 510. It is rather simple, so I explained only briefly thinking you would understand.

I started with a kr808 and I love it. I have decent battery life 6-8 hours so far and nice vapor and throat hit. I have 4 batteries that I can rotate, two manuals and 2 auto's. I like both varieties for different times situations. I did however, put in an order for the Joye Ego...but that is mostly because I'm a gadget freak...and it has excellent reviews.

I love my eGo too. I'm not giving it up. Should a carpenter only have one hammer? A different tool for different purposes...Like a 2,5ml atty/cart and a 4 hr batt life(chainvaping).

Please point me there. I still can try to return my Ego and my Riva. If I can get wide choice of 808 cartos resistance I could stay with 808.

I don't know development history of 808, but I know the reality. In my 6-7 weeks on 808 I've tried cartos from 4 different suppliers and none of them were below 3ohm. When I was asking around and looking for lover resistance, no one could help me with that.
Again, currently "...there are only 2 types of 808 cartmizers: about 3.1ohm (turbo/wow) and 3.8ohm (premium). "

According to your sig you started with V4L.. so here it is

Regular blanks - 3.0 ohm
WoW Blanks - 2.8ohm
Premium Coolcarts - 3.3ohm

2. There are lots of people who started with 808 (regular noobs mistake: look like a real cig) and moved to 510 because they couldn't get what they need with 808s: good battery life and wide choice of different attys/cartos.

Eastmall, Vapornine and a few other places are selling the "eGo type" batteries for Kr808

Thanks to this kind of misleading advises I spent extra $250 on experiments with 808 and kept smoking analogs while looking for answer in 808s.

Botton line... just because you have bad experience with Kr808 doesn't mean it's bad. I actually started with a 510 and moved to kr808 and that's how I quit. Everybody is different.

lol now where did i put my lawn chair

LOL reminds me of this one time we were doing this big joint contract with vets from ALL branches (Mostly us Air Force guys though) and we asked the old crusty Marine what he was doing this weekend and he said: "Same thing I do EVERY weekend... I open up the garage door, set my tv in the driveway, set the cooler down by my lawn chair, and prepare for my day!" lol.

Again, compare apples to apples.
0.5V makes big difference IF you take two batteries with same mah and use exactly same cartomizer, than yes, you will see the difference.
But 510 stuff is made for 3.2V and has different resistance choices of 510 attys/cartos. That's why those 0.5V difference isn't important.

901 LR attys? Really? On 280mah battery?

Battery adapters? Really? So what is the point of getting 808 if you have to go directly to 901 or 510 with battery adapters?

Where is common sense?

What is the point of 808 if it's good only with 901/510 adapted stuff?
Still you can't use LR on 808 because of battery capacity.

I'm using 510 cartos on KR8 stuff because if I remember correctly 510s got the cartos later. When I switched to KR8s they were the only ones with Cartos. I didn't want to buy a bunch of new batteries to try 510 cartos, so I use a $3 adapter.

And why can't you use LR on a KR8? I'm doing that right now with an adapter and it seems fine.

I'm not against different tools and different options.

Noobs are here, they have no clue about nothing. They are not looking to try different models for fun, they are looking for model to beat the habit and find sweet spot.
Where they have better chances, with limited choices of 808 or wide choices of 510?
What is wiser, to get starter kit for $70-$80 with 2x280mah batts or one for $50 with 2 Egos?
How many of noobs are willing to try different models and can invest $700 (my costs) to find their sweet spot?

How many people start with wrong e-cig and give up idea of vaping after few days/weeks. You can see some posts from people who come back after 6 months or a year to restart...

When u buy LR stuff, most of the places worn you not to use LR attys/cartos on less than 450mah batteries.

Really? Why? It does seem to use up the battery life and juice quicker, but isn't that to be expected?

I got mine from Madvapes and don't see a warning regarding battery mah there. Can you link to one that does. I'd like to check this out. I've been using the LR 510 cartos sparingly the last few days on about 2-3 different batteries. So far so good.

EDIT: I see litecig has the 450 mah recommendation. I wonder if that's due to how it eats battery life.

I will add my limited experience here becaue I am a n00b.
I purchased a Kr8 and a 510.
I have not used the 510 in several days. I prefer my XL Kr8.
So I would be happy recommending a Kr8.

It's natural, XL 808 has 350mah while regular 510 has 180mah - makes considerable difference.
