Yep i will take a few snow storms any day never been in a hurricane and am good with that. We are on the 12-18 range starting Monday night now. Half the time they tell us that we end up with nothing. So we will see we have enough bread and milk for the 1 day it will be hard to travel. I think losing power is the worst and since electricity went public(you can buy it from any supplier you want) We have lost our power much more often and for longer times. Been saying for years i need to get a generator think it time to do that.

I think politicians don't go there too get rich, it's just hard when people start handing you 100,000 dollar checks. It's like reviewers give them a few mods and they love every thing.

ElDee you mentioned "green wicks" would love the hear about that please, Always looking for new wicking mats. Sound like a great "find" on the stove years ago we have a 40" 2 oven stove that we just loved. The 30" standard oven is just too boring.

Wuzz dam your still chopping fire wood that hard work and sure part of what keep you young at heart :)

Every one stay safe it is looking like a big storm a brewin. We just got rid of some of the ice LOL.

Looks like we are in the 8-12" range from what Salem posted. Yup, no white bread in sight at my store, just as I predicted earlier. I literally laughed out loud and took a pic of the pitiful sight. It's on my FB page for those of you who are my friends there. :) I truly don't get it?

I want to hear more about those green wicks too! Thanks for the reminder OTR, I always forget when I"m here to ask!

Salem I was just looking at that map on the Weather Channel. I'm more concerned about the winds they are predicting as hurricane force, than I am about that much snow. If we lose power, we do still have heat and the cook top on the stove...both natural gas.

Haha Tracy! Katie wanted hot dogs and buns from the store, and the bread isle was in shambles here too

Bov, I was thinking the same thing. The blizzard conditions may well be the worst part. Hey, if you lose power and disappear for a few days, I may just have to call and check on you again ;)

Sleep well Fran :)

I was thinking of that call from you earlier today Salem. I do have my tablet charged, but it's wifi only...no electricity means no router :?: That just dawned on me, I had been thinking I could at least escape Katie to check in here, but I guess not.

My phone is like that too, Bov. I do have a small amount of time to use Verizons WIFI though.

There you go...I find it works well with a coil wrapped on a 5/64ths drill bit or the 1.5 mm post in the Coil Master...

Ahhhh yeah.....Hurricane Hugo...that was a nasty storm...

Now I know why the grocery store was so dang crowded earlier...I'm pretty sure no snow is in the forecast though I've not looked...

Wharf Bill Walton has nothing on you....Well maybe a better hook shot...

Wrapped a 1.8 for my other K Fun earlier...Like yesterday the ohms weren't jiving at first...1.1...I whipped it under the magnifying glass and saw one slight opening between the coils...Light squeeze with the tweeze and WhaaaBamm 1.8...Now if my Mini would come on home I'd have an arsenal....

Got those roof vents repaired today...Used the remainder of the sealant tube to touch up some old sealer....Thinking it wise to get another tube and maybe get ahead of the curve a little bit...

Not sure what kind of plus you have on your tablet but with a usb and maybe a few other types of plus you can use a great android app called PdaNet it does cost 8 or 10 dollars but its the only app i ever payed money too and well worth it IMHO. If you can connect to your smart phone you can use the phone like a modem. so as long as you have cell phone service your go.

Pretty cool when your at lands height and on your tablet or laptop connected :)

Edit: plus=plug

Good morning Fran. Looks like our weather forecast blew it big time. It's supposed to be 40 and sunny but it's 57 and raining like crazy. Puts a damper on my outside activities. The wind damaged my gate opener but the wooden post has to be dry for me to repair it. Hope everybody in the storm area stays safe. I haven't kept up with the news too close but I heard something about the worse since 18something. Good day to bake bread and keep the kitchen warm.

Morning folks :)

Dee, I have to admit that I haven't paid attention to the forecast outside of my area, so I have no idea what's in store down your way. Glad you got your roof vents finished.

Was hoping to hear that the offshore low had pushed farther out to sea, but that hasn't happened enough to spare us. Blizzard warnings now thru Wed.
