I got another row of sod dug out for the patio, but haven't leveled it and placed the blocks yet. I'm running into tree roots from the monster Live Oak that shades the back yard, I don't have a saws all to cut them with. So far my big loppers have been able to cut them, but if I run into any bigger ones I may have to try my jigsaw

Hey strangers, I'm still here.... Since June 1st, I think i've traveled over 2,000 miles.

Oh... the AC drain. Our AC unit is on the outside patio and the AC drain is in the second-story attic. Last July when we were in Japan, we had couple of Kia’s friends that were taking care of the house.
Well sure enough we get insulation clogging the AC drain. We kept getting calls from Kia's friends saying that the ceiling is dropping water. It was pretty funny, they were freaked out as water was dropping 20 feet from the ceiling onto the hardwood floor. I had a wait for 4 days later to get to the AC guy to fix it.

Mrs Wharf's Birthday is in the end of August. Every year for her birthday she has to go to work.
So this year we created July 23, Mrs Wharf’s Birthday !! We took Kia and "the boy" and spent two days at Disneyland and fun was had by all.

Happy Birthday, Wharf!! And to Mrs Wharf coming up

Just can't be that easy can it, Bov? Maybe a combo of jigsaw and lopper will do it. Know anyone that might have a Saws-all?

My loppers were able to take care of the tree root, Fran. I got row 5 leveled and blocks laid today...2 more rows and I'll be done laying the pavers, then I'll frame it with landscape timbers. It'll end up being approx 10x10' :)

Glad you got that without too much grief. It's a lot of work that's for sure. I hope it isn't really hot and you're drinking plenty of water!!

My whole heat pump unit is outside, with a pvc drain pipe coming out the side. Is there anything else I should look for, or is that the one I need to make sure is clog free? I don't recall anything but the duct work coming out of the unit under the house.

It puffed up and started thundering just after I got done outside this afternoon, but the much needed rain stayed south of us.

Progress pic! The 6 extra dirty pavers right in front of the steps were already there, but I need to pry them up and level them to pitch away from the steps like the ones I have put in. I'm not a pro, but it ain't too shabby ;)

    Have a happy bday Wharf!

    Very Nice work, Bov [emoji106]

I'm staying busy with the proposal I'm working on, it'll be hectic for the next couple of weeks and then a little lighter. I'm a general fielder on this, nominally proposal manager but fill in as an extra set of eyes on the program management and engineering leadership activities. Fortunately I work with an absolutely stellar group of people, so most of my job is coordinating and keeping the team more or less focused on the must-do tasks to achieve success. It beats doing real work, and I'm still getting to work from home based on the weird hours [emoji16]

I forgot to mention....I've found my cordless recripicating saw isn't the best for trimming limbs above ground....I can't imagine it being better on roots...My take is the blade for green/wet/alive wood is much more aggressive....the blades for dried wood heat up when the wood is still wet...They will cut wet wood but will not walk through it if there's any size at all involved....My favorite tool for roots is an ax....then a bush ax...I keep a little red{from Lowes} limb saw in the truck....it folds like a pocket knife and makes quick work of wet or dry wood.....The patio is looking great !!!
