Good morning all. Hope your Mom heals quickly Dee and good luck with your test. I've got a Dr. appt. this morning to get results from my blood work. I took a tumble Sat. Tripped over a log while I was sawing firewood and me and my chainsaw wound up in a scrub oak bush. Scratches and bruises but nothing broke and the chain was stopped. Y'all have a great Monday.

Agreed with Bov. Not sure how large a town you live in, but if you don't like the doc, best to find a new one. I had an awesome gyno/onc years ago when I needed one. He had the best bedside manner and was wonderful!

Wuzz you be careful with those chainsaws, ya hear?

Thanks, everyone!

Tracy, my mom is actually lucky enough to have an awesome surgeon. He is the one that is sending her to the onc and said that she is very good. The fact that the surgeon is very reputable and trusted by us makes it easy to trust his decision on any doc that he sends her to. :) Not to mention that I did my research and she seems to be very reputable.

I am headed to bed but had to stop by and tell you all this. My mom saw her pulmo today. I think that I told you all she quit smoking two days before surgery? :D Quite a feat after 64 years of heavy smoking. Well, she did start vaping with some Ego Twists that I have. Today in the pulmo's office, she was vaping on her Twist without even realizing it while being examined by the doc. She is one of those people that is very animated with her hands while she talks. She was fogging the exam room up and that purple Ego was being waved around everywhere. Funny part is that the doc never said a single word about her vaping there.

May have been one of those things that you had to be there to appreciate but, I got a kick out of it and thought I would share.

On a bright note, her oxygen saturation was 97-98% today! No more oxygen for . Even though her COPD is severe, she is actually not doing too bad :thumb:

@Wuzz, glad your injuries were no worse. Be careful out there! You know that you do not want to be dealing with any major broken bones ;)

This week and next is jam packed with doc appts but, I will e checking in as often as I am able to.

Salem, that's awesome!!! The entire post made me smile. A reputable doctor (yay, half the battle right there!) and the fact that your mom filled the office up with vapor...fantastic news!!! (((Hugs)))

Morning folks :)

Thank you for sharing the great news about your mom, Salem! I'm glad to hear that her pulmo didn't have a problem with her vaping, and her O2 sat was way up is awesome! Hoping the onco will continue the trend.

I hear ya on wanting to stay home Tracy. I told Katie that if I had to make a trip to town today, it would have to be at gun point! She got notice in the mail yesterday that her car inspection is due tho, and she's gonna nag about that until I get it done.

That's one of those stupid little errands I have to do today Bov!!! I need to make an appt online for joc and my car inspections, then call our mechanic to clear the code (engine light) in jocs car. She has to drive it for at least 50 miles afterward before going to insp. station. Two years ago we were on our way home from inspection station when it came back on!!! Talk about a close call?! Talk about STRESS?
Hoping we can be as lucky this time around. Cross your fingers for us please!
The limited edition snow wolf has issues so I need to go to P.O. To send it back to asmodus with the RMA. Stupid errands!

My appointment is looming at 4pm....almost like a court date I tell Yahh....

Little feature of the IPV 4S....When wattage is changed one must bump down before going up...There can be no unexpected 120 watt hits...I threw a .5 vertical coil into the KSM last week...Still going fine and nothing like those .5s we first got...The 4S is on it's third KSM fill....same batteries....

Mom has an appointment as well....I must look thru the house for a business card with the appointment on the back...Couple other little duties and off we both go too Southern Pines....

My buddy Richie from NJ met his fate in June...In Southern Pines for a chopper show he got ran over by a car...Looking for the Doc's last week I found the spot where Richie died...about a block away from the Doc's....Creeps me the feck right on out....Then as I leave Southern Pines I pass the spot where my Dad left this earth...He was homeward bound in a Peterbilt when he had a massive heart attack....crossed the median and two lanes of on coming traffic....luckily no one else was involved...Local paper called Dad a hero for missing all those cars...I took a hard look at the path the truck took and know it wasn't being driven but following the lay of the road and earth....That place has bad juju for me....so I set a Doc's appointment there....If anyone can break the Southern Pines Curse it can only be the Evel One....Let's do this

Salem, bless you both during this ordeal.
I've come to understand that trials such as these, as well as all trials, will strengthen us, even unto death.
If my trial(s) take my life, I will pickup my new, better life, and continue on in a brighter realm.
