Ugh. I meant to post some links for you guys. What I have found to work best for me is some that I get from sams. LD is correct in that the body needs bioperine (black pepper) in order to absorb the Turmeric. I love that it is simply a spice.

Many things are thought to be caused by inflammation including some types of cancers. Turneric is also very good for the heart.

Hang on and I will be back with links. Btw- my sister needs knee replacement. She could barely walk a few months back until she started taking turmeric. This stuff truly works!

Bov, I love that sweet dog of yours!!!! I can tell how sweet Bella is just by the pictures.

Here is a link to what I take.
Member's Mark 500mg Turmeric Curcumin Complex Dietary Supplement (250 ct.) - Sam's Club

I think that you can order there even if not a member. If that’s not the case, let me know. I also get free shipping as a plus member. Best price that I have found and it works well. I started taking 2 in morning and 2 at night but I only take 2 in morning now.

Don’t hesitate to let me know if anyone wants me to order for them.

I take Turmeric Curcumin with bioperine. One capsule daily. I haven't had any problem with the arthritis in my hands at all and it hasn't mattered what brand I take either.

You are most likely taking the 1000 or 1500 mg. The ones that I take are 500 mg.
Many people only take one of the ones that I take but it works best for me staying around 1000 mg.

Plus these are only $11 for 250 capsules. Last me for 4 months.

The ones I take are 500mg also.
You are lucky. I know a few people that the low dose works for but not many.

I also have tendonitis in my elbow plus plantars fasciitis in both feet. It takes a higher dose for me. It works and I am thrilled that it does. Much better than more surgeries and dealing with constant pain for me.

Very glad it works good for both of us.:)

Salem, how do you take that brand? One or two plus a fraction of a teaspoon of pepper?

No pepper at all. I used to use the turmeric with bioperine with good results. Until I found this one. They don’t list bioperine in the ingredients. They list proprietary curwin. I suspect that blend has bioperine in it.

When I first started on this brand I had been out for awhile. My pain was severe so I started on 2 capsules in the morning and two at night for the first week. I dropped down to just two in the morning in the second week and that works for me.

Thank you for the link Salem! I too am a sams club member, so I’m stopping there Friday on my way through when I deliver juice to stores and getting some.
Do any of you know if it’s safe for a diabetic to take? My mom is on metformin but has arthritis in her hips. I wonder if I should ask her to try this? I’m going to google as well but thought one of you may know?

I was able to get OUT of this house today. Even though it is COLD as ever, it felt good to get out for a bit. Ive been cooped up since the bathroom remodel started and was about sick to bits of staying in.

I did some girly stuff like getting my nails done, and replaced some makeup I was low on. This cold snap this week is wicked so although I could’ve ran more errands, I decided to retreat to my WARM house. I’m with you ElDee, waiting on the warm!!!!

I still haven’t gotten a squonk (and I just HAVE TO have one in my arsenal). I am eyeing either the pulse x kit or the more expensive dovpo topside and rda. Decisions decisions?!?!

Bov I’m glad Bella wasn’t shocked by your blanket. She sure is cute!
I gotta stop by Petco for those greenies, hopefully tomorrow. That’s one of the errands I wimped out on today in the cold.

Tracy, turmeric is said to stabilize bs so it would be helpful for diabetics if anything.

Turmeric is just a spice that is used in a lot of Indian food. I don’t care for the taste at all plus a person would not be able to eat enough for it to be helpful consumed that way.

Been sorting through my moms belongings and cleaning them all day. It’s just amazing the amount of clothes she had since she wore the same things over and over. My sisters and I have been buying her clothes for years now. I found that the newer ones are still in brand new condition. She had so much that I wonder if she even realized that she had the new ones.

I am guessing that Wharf is still tecovering from his tests. I bet that he will check in tomorrow.

She really is sweet, but looks can be deceiving! She's going thru the terrible two's

Thanks for all the info on tumeric. I use cinnamon, but buy the real Ceylon cinnamon sticks from Amazon

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EM7VQKO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

The cheaper *cinnamon* that we can easily get in the grocery store can actually be toxic in large enough amounts. True cinnamon is good for T2 diabetics, as it helps your natural uptake of insulin. I infuse my half and half with a few sticks for coffee, and also just boil a few sticks in a little over a quart of water. Let it steep, and it makes a great tea. My latest kick is apple cinnamon infused water. Thinly slice 1 apple (your choice of variety, I like Fugi) and add 2 cinnamon sticks per 2 quarts of water, stick it in the fridge. You can reuse the same apple/cinnamon in your water pitcher for several days before the apple starts getting mushy.

Dee, you more than deserve a couple of Snicker's bars here and there!! The 100th Anniversary Oreo's carrot cake flavor cookies jumped in my cart yesterday

Wharf, good luck on the tests! We'll be there with you, just as we are with Dee

I like cinnamon and those sticks look good. I bet would be good in a cup of tea.
