I feel you on the temperature shock, Dee! We're at 37 right now. Why is 37 colder here than it was in Ct?! :D

Wharf, we sure don't heal as quickly as we used to, and I feel your pain. I hope it improves soon! Back in early summer I missed the bottom step coming down off my ladder, and twisted my right hip bad enough that it is still hurting. Dr. checked it out when I was there last week and said that the fluid sac (bursae) was inflamed, so I have bursitis in that hip. He said it could take months to heal. It is improving with my continued walking and strengthening the muscles around it.

Very happy to know that yall have so far been safe from the SoCal fires!

Seems the cold started effecting me more a couple of years ago....I've never liked it and pretty much hate it now.....

Yellow Jackets had a nest by my outside water hydrant....Not wanting a burned out spot in the yard I hit Lowes and got the Yellow Jacket foaming spray...I waited until late and foamed them...I checked back after dark and found both holes and the surrounding dirt covered with dead Yellow Jackets...None swarming then and none swarming now....The nest we burned out last week still had a few swarming 3/4 days later....

needing a new shop roof I am......There's a River Birch that drops sheet constantly on the roof....To remedy I've gotta cut a small and a large Water Oak and another large River Birch...That's all so I can drop the offender without hitting the shop....Then there's the Pine dead and leaning towards the storage building at the beach...Probably gonna be tomorrow before the chainsaw hits the deck for a look see/new chain...Then it's lumberjack time again.....

I got the downed tree top mostly cut up and out of the way. A bit to go in the wooden fence garden area, it'll wait until spring.

I did basic winter prep at camp today, water off and drained, pg anti-freeze in the drains, refrigerator emptied and turned off.

I knew we were getting a hard freeze late this week, just saw we're due for accumulating snow. Looks like back to camp Wed to pop the lawn tractor in the shed, set up the trickle charger, then do snow blower prep at home (oil and spark plug change).

Mark I'm still lovin' the Aftershokz Air, But.... I've been in the Gym 3 to 5 days a week. There are times when the Air doesn't give me enough hmph from the Air..... That brings me to the Sennheiser PXC 550 Wireless. I'm not sure if I go that way... or the Sony or AirPods Pro.
Your or any body else's Thoughts ????

    OR Something completely different ~
    Thanks !

    Good sound and sweat-worthy:
    Jabra Elite Active 65t
    Sennheiser CX Sport
Plantronics Backbeat Fit 500 (on ear)

    Or, low cost but solid;
    Anker Soundbuds Curve

My wife still enjoys her Trekz Air, but at the gym I'd go with good sound and some noise isolation, a different use case from the Aftershokz.

Bov, how are you doing with the ringworm?

It's slowly but surely clearing up. I have one more week of the anti-fungal pills, and no new spots.

I've been working on caulking windows. I mentioned before that these are the original single hung, counter weight/pulley system windows from when the house was built in 1939. Most of the windows I don't ever open, so I'm caulking those completely shut from the inside! I've found some of the glass panes loose from missing glazing, I'm just using caulk to seal those too. The windows I do use will get caulk on the upper stationary part, removable rope caulk on the bottom. Progress, not perfection :)

Lots of work for you, Mark! At least I no longer have to worry about snow prep!

Cuzzo's Ex has paid us to clean out the lake house....10 days from Tuesday the check clears anyways....Hope to be near done by then....

Came home the other day to Mom plunging the kitchen sink...The house is approaching 70 years old and the kitchen sink drains to the side of the yard....Couple weeks back two frogs had built a home in there and stopped it up...I got this deal that fits the end of a water hose and have cleared that drain many times....This time it blew the steel pipe in 1/2 down in the basement....Years back I'd added plastic pipe outside but it remained steel under the house...I also built a garage with a concrete drive and there's the old concrete stoop where the old house stairs were...I found the concrete after crawling 30 feet or so under the breezeway between the house and garage....I'd hoped to find the plastic I'd added years back and just run plastic on too the sink....I did manage to find the pipe in the 6 inch gap between the concrete drive and stoop....It was steel....Yay!!!! The decision was made to run the sink into the septic tank.....Thank God I got new drain lines on that. There is a full basement so that's a huge plus....70 years ago and being the South and Grand Dad ran a sawmill the floor joists are actual size 2X12 Heart of Southern Yellow Pine....You will not drive a nail in them....Drill and screw only...The sink and drain lines are naturally on different sides of the house but the joists are in line...Still there was 7 stabilizers blocking the path....Bottom line yesterday I used a hole saw and cut the stabilizers where needed...32 foot and they gotta be cut so the sink drains correctly...I used the cell phone and divided according to where the stabilizers fell and then just cut the holes by eye....Got the lone run of 2 inch pic glued in....Now I gotta tie in to the old plumbing and sink....Gonna raise a section of 3 inch at the door entering the basement...That pipe has way to much fall and with it raised the couple of inches allowed to keep the fall I won't be hitting my head on it anymore....It's a win win.....Getting the pipe run was a bear....We had a family reunion today and I took a pass on plumbing....It should last another 70 years when finished....
