I headed East this a.m. to winterize the beach house....Cold and raining here...Spitting rain but warmer at the beach....Coming back West there was a line in the sky....cloudy 100%.....clear 100%....When I hit the clear the temps left the building......DAAAANNNNGGGGG!!!!!!

No plumbing done but......I winterized the beach house.....Everything was well down there......Cuzzo has our next paycheck secured and deposited....Cuzzo is working with his EX to secure a new title for the Ranger pickup at the lake house....I got the go ahead to get it and bring it here....Those leather jackets were made by Brooks in a size 44....I needed a 46....I'd cruised the classifieds on FB and E Bay looking at the top brands....Schott and Excelled mainly....A 46 Schott came up....used but good and $$275....Yesterday a used but good Brooks hit the bay....$$169 included shipping....SCORE!!!!!

Our first snow of the year was only 5", with another half foot tonight and early tomorrow. Temp should hit the mid teens overnight, with some wind.

I've been stocking up on vape gear, building up long term equipment. A mix of mech and regulated, squonkers and standard.

It's been 10 months or so since I've had a vape...No cigarettes or cigars....There are still times when my brain says this next puff is gonna be so good....Then it's not there.....

It was a little hard to believe when that jacket in that size just appeared....New it's $550 and skips from 44 to 48 and this one's 46.....My two old Brooks jackets are still hanging on the spare shower curtain rod....I ordered some stuff called Leather Honey for my chair and jackets....Those old jackets likely will never fit again but I'll never part with them....The Harley Jackets I have two of....They are the short produced run with Shovelhead engines on the buttons...I hear they're highly sought after and pricey....they sure ain't comfortable less I wouldn't be in need....I tried my damnedest to break them in.....I think I may investigate starting an E Bay store and see if I may be able to actually sell some stuff....

Needing to get some propane tanks filled and do a little plumbing today....One thing I do need....A 500 or 1000 gallon propane tank that belongs to me....That way I can price match in the summer when it's cheap and 300 gallons should make it thru a winter so a 500 would have a little spare left...Those dang 100lb. tanks are a little rough moving around for an old man and it's always cold as Hades when doing so.....

Thanks !!!

That's a lot of LPG !!! I run my estimate from when I had a 100 gallon tank...3 tanks per winter on average...I know the owner at the PLG place....He said no rental but his wifey sent 3 rental bills after I'd sorted it all out twice....3rd bill I loaded the tank with the tractor when it was empty and delivered it too her....Now I'm hauling in 100lb. tanks and a little tired of that.....

Plumbed all day and have the septic side done....Both baths connect on that side and I had to tap into one bath drain....All is good and draining well....The low pipe is a little higher and passed the walk under it test...The dishwasher has automotive heater hose hooking it up....I finally figured how to get under the dishwasher to see everything....I was gonna attempt hooking it in the sink drain tailpiece as would normally be the case....then after looking and trying to determine the hose I needed I see a little rigging went on to use the automotive stuff.....So lets just ride all over town and try and figure how to get this all straightened out....If I can find a tailpiece with a 3/4 hose barb it's gonna be automotive again....bet that....

Glad you found a jacket that meets your approval, Dee!

The ringworm hit a stall in the healing process, so tomorrow I start a different med for another 2 weeks. Still no new spots, but the ones I do have only cleared some in the center. Washing bedding every day is getting old!! Not to mention it's not cheap on my electric bill having to wash in hot water(with bleach or borax) and dry high heat setting to kill the spores.

I ran into the lady who coordinates the trap/spay, neuter/release program in our neighborhood yesterday. The mobile spay and neuter bus was there and she told me that ringworm is in overdrive in our area this year. Out of the 28 cats and kittens that she had for the spay bus, 17 of them have been being treated for it. She said she'd come set some live traps over near my side of the hood, too.

Glad you found your jacket ElDee! Hope you find an LP tank next. I sent mine packing when the company wanted me to move mine for easier delivery for them and run a house length worth of copper tubing along with it. It was much cheaper to call an electrician and convert to electric for my stove.
With this constant roller coaster going on about vaping I’ll bet you and wharf are glad you stopped! Makes me crazy that people who have NO IDEA about our industry are the very ones holding the cards for our future.

Bov I hope your ringworm disappears with this new medicine. How frustrating!

Hey....I think I was really lucky to find that jacket....It'll be here tomorrow so we'll see....

Never have I hooked up a dishwasher....I've worked for a plumber and given what I know there was a little worry about the sink draining into the dishwasher....This would only happen if you pulled the drain with the sink full of water....So you gotta either high point the drain from the dishwasher.....meaning at some point the drain hose must be higher than the sink's flood level....you could also add a check valve.....My dad hooked it up @30 years back.....he's been gone 25...I'm gonna try and keep the drain under the sink and high point it....Dad had his running straight down and while I've got everything assembled to do the same I just don't like that...Hoping by tomorrow my plumbing will be through....Then what's next is anybody's guess....

The wind has shown no mercy today....I got limbs on top of limbs on the ground and noticed the shingles on the little roof over the shop door were coming off.....Son of a............

The jacket arrived and is better than could have been hoped for....leather is excellent quality and the jacket is in really great shape....Got the new drain line in and working way better than it did before....I tested my set up with the dishwasher drain still unhooked and no sink water came near the nipple where the dishwasher ties in...Water is flying out of the sink with the bigger and no longer 1/2 clogged pipe....Now I got a ton of sheet to return to Lowes and a bunch of tools to put up....Gotta hit the lake house tomorrow for the vin # on the Ranger pick up...Cuzzo is working with his EX to get me a title....Hoping that all works out....

Yay on the jacket being up to your standards, Dee! And another yay on the drain getting finished!

Our wind has been gusty, but no real damage that I've seen. Just rain and more rain. It was finally a gorgeous 50+ degree day today, and Bella was happy to spend most of it outside :)

Happy birthday kgj!

A pleasant day here, too, mid 40s. I added another short step on the back door, for our elderly Aussie, to make it easier for him. Over the past week and a half I've taken the back steps and basically reworked everything, made a small platform and been working on multiple wider, but shorter height, steps. One last 15" wide step to go, at the very bottom - everything is cut and stained, tomorrow I'll assemble it.
