A pair of high drain 18350's only put out enough for 4.6 volts @ 1.5 -1.7 ohms? Interesting. Where's the data for future reference, or was that your measurement?

It's mine. I got a Kalamazoo triple-v out of the classifieds the other day. I measured load voltage with one of these. The batteries I have in the triple v are these.

Wonder if the AW's are any different. There's several different battery chemistries... so it may vary. Anyway... once the batteries catch up... it's still a regulator issue. Your point is well made tho.

Old Goat 5 volt either as a standard box mod or as a bottom feeder. Bottom feeder is $50 and the nonbottom-feeder I think is $30.
