Now that you stopped smoking do you ever plan on quitting vaping or reducing or nic. to 0? I myself am down to 6mg of nic. and will be dropping down to 3mg then 0. At this point I don't know if I can give up the vaping. I believe its more of a hand to mouth habit that I don't know if I can stop.

Good for you! You are doing well.

I started at 24 mg nic and have gradually been reducing the level. I'm now mostly at 0 mg. Still have a few juices left in 3 mg. Seems I don't vape as much now, either. I often will go run an errand and not even care about taking my ecigs. At work, I don't feel the need to go to the "smoking" area nearly as much. When at home, I still vape quite a bit. I do hope to taper off from vaping even further. I don't know if I will totally quit vaping. I will always want to have it available, in case I'm ever tempted to smoke again. I quit smoking for 8 or 9 years and then one day started back up. Wish ecigs had been around at that time - it could have very easily scratched that itch.

I have been happily vaping 0-nic juices for almost 18 months. Its definitely the hand-to-mouth thing that is very comforting to me - plus I just love to vape! I have no intention of quitting vaping...:)

in my previous experience with vaping i did quit. I came back to vaping after a life expirence was too stressful and i picked up analogs again for about 6 months. I came back to vaping to get off the stinkies.

once i reached 0mg (took about 4 months ish from 18mg) i started to forget to grab my PV when i left for work etc..after a week or so of forgetting i said to myself hell if i forget all the time i really dont need it. I then sold it to a bud to help him quit.

For me, one step at a time.

Vaping from this point onward until I'm sure t-cigs will never be on the radar again. Then I'll plan the next step, but in due time I'll be done with vaping too. Maybe I'll nic-gum/nic-patch/snu it down another step before quitting altogether. Gradually cutting back, be it Cigs or Vapes won't work for me, and at some point down the road a smaller Cold Turkey step will have to be taken.

Eventually yes .. but not anytime soon. I find I enjoy vaping *more* than I enjoyed smoking. It tastes better, smells better (and a lot less), it feels better for my lungs - and I get the same satisfaction and enjoyment that I did from real cigarettes (after small adjustment period, of course).

I was cursing myself everytime I bought a new pack of smokes or lit up. I felt like a fool for not being able to give up something so damaging to my health, appearance and personal smell. While I think that not vaping is healthier than vaping, I personally feel and believe that vaping is less damaging to my health than smoking to the point where it reduces the urgency to stop. At some point, though, I will use vaping to step down my nic and quit for good.

I would love to quit everything but smoked for 40 years and was never able to quit that until I began vaping. I have reduced my nicotine to 12 mg (from 18) and I will get to 6...we will see what happens after that. If my choices are vaping or smoking I damned sure choose vaping, I can breath for the 1st time in many years. How was that for a non answer?

Hey Jimmy -- just want to share with you my reduction of nicotine. Started at 18mg over a year ago and slowly reduced it to 6mg (reduction of 3mg each time in the beginning and then 2mg once it got lower). About 3 weeks ago I went from 6mg to 4mg and I am struggling with it in that I am vaping more juice that I have in the past. I think the reason for this is because this last step down was by 33%, which is a lot. Keep in mind that if you step down from 6mg to 3mg, that is a 50% step down!

Good luck to you with whatever you decide!
