Can easily see that putting a kibosh on your evening, and a possible dangerous situation. I know that in the CR using too many sugar cubes and setting fire to them is a common practice, neither the right way to do Absinthe to the purists.

I don't imbibe the stuff now days, just vape it and the Nuppin' excels at doing that.

When I did DIY I used to infuse some of my flavors, so considered it for Ab. Three species of wormwood grows wild here on the desert, in massive numbers in some places... A. tridentata, A. filifolia and A. dracunculus. But research has not shown any of these used to infuse Ab even though I know that the Native Americans used them for various things (including to smoke in their pipes, for sweat lodges, ceremonies, etc). Absinthe as a beverage only has small levels of Trujone infused in them, not enough to be harmful as was thought for nearly a 100 years. But the NA's often used things that were hallucinogenic (ie Peyote, Psilocybin mushrooms, etc), so possibly their smoking dried wormwood does raise the levels and the trip that follows.

My Nuppin finally hit the UK. First build shown below. A 1 ohm coil with rayon. Outstanding so far! May try dropping down to 0.7 ohms with a dual coil setup and see how that goes [emoji1]

Nice set up!
You will love this beast. It's amazing how much you can dial in a sweet spot between coil placement and afc cap I have enjoyed tinkering. Can get a .... hit lung busting vapor bomb hit or tight draw flavorful pipe smoking style hits and everything in between.
I have a question for you, how does your drip tip fit? I have gotten a bunch of high quality drip tips, short, long stainless,ox-horn, delrin, wide bore you name it and they seem to be very loose fitting or wobbly. I have found only 1 cheapo delrin shorty that when inserted gives that nice stable "click" when it goes in and no wobble. I have one on there now similar to yours but had to add some dental floss around base to get it nice and tight. I even tried putting on slightly fatter o rings but they get bunched when trying to insert. It seems either the depth on the atty or the diameter must be slightly different on the Nuppin? Other than that I absolutely love this atty!

I've heard the Nuppin' to be loose for dt's, but haven't experienced it myself. I run Loki dt's (stub and omega) with no problem. Just tried 4 others, all with no looseness - all of them with single o-rings. Hmmmmm....

Hmmm.. either you are lucky or I'm not.
The dts I have good quality dts and they "fit" okay but not secure, snug. When I put them in a RM2 they have that distinct locked in type click to them and no wobble whatsoever. In the Nuppin the kind of "slide" in like butter and won't fall out if tipped but seem very loose. I can see 1 or 2 dts not fitting but I just bought 4 nice ones with nice machining and orings, all singles and they all fit the same. Maybe I'm just being ....!!! :) It just seems that if I bump the tip against something or turns in my pocket etc. that they would fall out.
Gonna do a little more fiddling with dental floss.

Happy Holidays!:toast:

Don't fool yourself into believing there is a "standard" for atty's or drip tips or their o-rings. I discovered long ago that the machined drip tip hole on atty's can vary a few thousands of an inch (up to .005" - even more for cheap Asian DT's and atty's). The DT post's themselves, their o-ring groove(s) and the o-rings themselves installed on them don't really have a standard either. Doesn't matter, almost all are a quick fix by just trying different o-rings to find what works best on a atty/DT combo. The o-rings can be bought in just about any size, and in kits of graduated sizes. It's just common sense to have a supply of them on hand when you have as many APV's, atty's and DT's as I have.

Another option is to go to a DT that doesn't rely on o-rings, has a tapered post instead. I have wide bores from Cherry Vape that are such... will fit any atty I own without wobble.

Thanks for the info! I'll check out the tapered after checking out o ring options. :)

Happy B-day, Rattler :toast:

I'm a December baby myself - birthdays tend to get lost in the Christmas frenzy, so take time to celebrate (with, say, a wicked vape through a router on a nuppin' on a reo, for instance).

Thanks Papa...My Hammertone/Nuppin went out in the cold rain with me this morning to harvest a beautiful (birthday) 8 point buck. Then I get home and have a router tip in the mailbox. It has been a great day.
