I've never looked at a Mephisto so I'll check it out. I love the Odin personally. Much more than the Nuppin despite the relative lack of flavor. I just like it's design. I won't be buying any more of them though, much more interested in trying new attys - Derringer, and I'll look into the Mephisto too. I've heard the name but know nothing about it.

Check CH's available stock list if you're interested.

Yeah, Krylon #1311 seems to work best on them. You have to keep an eye on it though, if your rough with your devices it will wear away...
Music.... Brother..... You hit the nail on the head!! That's the reason I brought the metal...... I'm going to turn my phone off for rsm and reo woodies...... Learned my lesson..... I beat the **** out of my cruiser... Its actually dead!

Will do Papa, thank you, and might I add, curse both of you freakin' enablers :) haha

Hey muzic thanks for all your tips - one of them shone through and I think just landed me a much smoother twisted vape bro. I lowered the coils a bit more. I wasn't thinking so much in terms of the dead center of the coil being with the airflow - and the twisted 29g coil seems larger than 26g--taller too, if you will--so lowering the coils a bit really seems to have mellowed it out. I'll have to vape on it for a while to know for sure. Doesn't seem like it impacted flavor in a negative way at all which is also a plus. You rock brother.

I'll mention this for thoughts, too - my coils, not just this twisted build but many of my low resistance builds, do tend to glow along the legs just a bit. They glow at most 1/2 way to the posts. But, the glow is not the same kind of bright glow of the coils - almost like a reflection of the heat of the coils. It's the same kind of glow I think I see in some videos, like even Russ's, just glowing a tad bit out the legs from the coil. The coils fire evenly together, and from the inside out. There's no off taste to the juice, or metallic taste, or anything of that sort. I do not believe these are hot legs, but I'm mentioning it just in case someone out there doesn't experience the same thing and thinks it's a bad sign. My big issue with the Nuppin the other night was thinking this was hot legs. Finally I just wicked a build and vaped and it was flavorful, smooth and no hint of dryness.

I went with VHT Flame Proof Satin Clear SP115... bought locally at an Auto Zone.
Rated for very high temperture, for coating exhaust headers, etc.

What can I do until I get some clear coat..... To protect it...... Zip lock baggie with some rice to get rid of moisture.....thid is what I was going to do for Now..... I checked home Depot, micheals, 3 hardware stores, and a auto zone which only had some kind of rubberized coating. No one had the krylon 1311 I just got back didn't see above recommended..... So if I wait until tomorrow what should I do to stop this madness from occurring..... Lol. Jk. And is there any way to get the gold back when this happens?

You should be fine until you get some clear coat bro, it took quite a while for mine to fade. Don't stress it too much. Maybe someone can provide an interim tip for you, I wish I could, but in the meantime don't fret because I doubt it's started fading yet, and won't fade much between now and when you get something to protect it.

Thanks..... Yeah my minds eye is seeing it darken since it was mentioned lol...... I live in Chicago which is under the control of nazis where you can't buy any kind of spray paint..... I asked about clear coat and how that applies......they just looked at me and said it's an aerosol can?? Wt* anyway.... I found an O'Reillys auto part store in a suburb that sells AEROSOL SPRAY PAINT specifically the heat resistant VHT S115 that someone so kindly recommended ..... It borders chicago and if I can get it im sure any 12 year old with bad intent can, and will ......its Sooooo stupid......all its doing is Inconveniencing me and all law abiding people.

I'll get back on the subject at hand.... I bought 2 nuppins and waited for my REO to finally use it..... I'm going to buy another sl/grand soon. Here's a couple pics 26g 9 wrap around a coat hanger that I believe is 2ml.

I went back and re-read and yes you did in fact say it was just dual 26g.... My bad... Not sure why you are getting 2x or 3x the TH, but like I mentioned it may have to do with placement. It may seem because they look to be the same height, I am guessing it is because of the center point to which you are lining them up to the airflow, but the twisted I think is a thicker build and that will put the top of the coil higher in relation to the flow. Try lowering the twisted coils a little on the build.

I only vape "1" liquid, been that way for over 3yrs now, and it helps tremendously with different builds to different atty's. Easier to compare. I would suggest putting the same liquid in both and see if that makes a difference in the vape. It could also be a possibility that the liquid you are vaping on the twisted setup needs to be a lower nic level. Try mixing it down with a little straight PG or VG and see if that works.

I fell into the magical spell of the Odin from Russ and went full bore and acquired 5 of them in a very short period of time. They were a decent vape with certain setups in them, but the thing that put me off the most was the leaking out the AFC... Drove me nuts. Every pocket my device went into had a :censored: juice spot in it within minutes. It even leaked just sitting on the table next to me. I tried everything from coil placement to switching back to cotton, yet nothing kept them from leaking... I will say, it wasn't so much the juice as it was the condensation that would seep out of it. My theory was the relation of the negative posts to the AFC was where the problem occurred or that there was too much material between the post and the edge of the atty. The condensation just seemed to collect there and exit the AFC easily. Not sure exactly, but that is my theory. Though the Derringer also has negative posts machined into the atty, it doesn't have the same effect at all. At least that I have discovered yet and I've been vaping it for more than a month now.

I will say the atty that made me sell all 5 of my Odin's was the Mephisto. I own 2 of them and in my opinion, everyone should own at least 1 of them. It is the atty I compare everything else to. I haven't had a bad setup in either of mine. As far as a true 22mm atty goes, (imo), there is not a better one on the market today. It is very easy to build and vapes exceptionally good. I would add that I have no leaking with it either. Nothing po's me more than an atty that leaks... If I were to change anything about it, that would be smaller post holes. That is all... There has been talk by Tom to do an 18mm version of it, but I fear that will change the vape of it too much and it just won't be as good. Would I buy one? Yes I would, but with caution though... As my mother always said, "If it ain't broke, it don't need fixin'"....

I am sporting a Mephisto thanks to Muzic and Papa. I am really enjoying it. Just seems to fit my vaping style. I have an RM2 that I like too. Glad to hear others like the Mephisto too.

yiorgo - that really is dumb, but at least Chicago's a beautiful city. Probably the most beautiful large city I've been to in the states. My sister lives in a suburb, think it's called Naperville but not sure...

Buckster - good to know and I LOVE your avi! CH only has clones at the moment. Looks like a cool atty though, real cool.

I have the CH Mephisto clone. Tom did a great job with it...squonks and drains just fine. I had to back out the 510 a tad to get it to fire on the Reo Grand.

Absolutely beautiful but between this minor nuisance to the red light/speeding cameras at what seems like every stop light I've had it im definitely going to move....... Rahm-Bo our illustrious mayor who banned ecigs from the very beginning and said, "I'm not going to wait for the FDA" and grouped it with smoking bans.... He's just a tool! Some of the highest taxes anywhere...... And our streets look like a war zone, pot holes that will not only flatten a tire but crush a rim! It's happened to me a few times. Oh my god..... Parking downtown $5 for 10 minutes peak times? 5 years ago Neighborhood's like mine got metered parking on the major through streets it's a little better like $1 for 1/2 hour!!! I get tickets by meter ppl for parking on my driveway.....I contested it .. They say nope there should be a sidewalk there.... so your blocking the imaginary sidewalk? Its ridiculous!
Here's a pic of my car and my neighbors car he's petrified to park on his own driveway. No curb, no sidewalk, goes right into my garage!

Now Naperville is really beautiful..... And not communist.!

Lmao...... Yup split the wood around the 510 and broke the leaf spring on the positive side then the spring fell out behind that..... I thought I could glue it in..... And yeah, no..... Nothing...... dead...... killed the Cruiser! But on the brighter side that's what brought me to finally buy a Reo A METAL ONE. I DONT PLAY WELL WITH WOODEN MODS!!!

Here you go......one dead cruiser.... I'm sure it can be fixed but I'll just break it again. Lol

Michael - do I spy a rotated centerpost in your Nuppin build ? Helps a bunch don't it. Rossum, while making fun of one of my builds enlightened me to it and it definitely helps reduce the positive leg length :)

I finally got around to building this one so Winston would leave my pimped grands alone :)
