Has anybody contacted a decent TV newscast reporter (non-biased and with integrity) to cover the incoming Opposing Faxes and Calls at the Rep offices? Imagine a reporter at every major office televising one OPPOSE fax after another rolling off the press....

Come to think of it, a YOUTUBE nut with a cell phone as well for backup....

!!!! URGENT !!!!

It turns out the list of Health Committee members is outdated. The new members are:

Christopher S. Friend

Albany, NY 12248
518-455-4538
friendc@assembly.state.ny.us

Andy Goodell

LOB 547
Albany, NY 12248
518-455-4511
goodella@assembly.state.ny.us

Edward P. Ra
Albany Office
LOB 544
Albany, NY 12248
518-455-4627
rae@assembly.state.ny.us

Andrew P. Raia
Albany Office
LOB 629
Albany, NY 12248
518-455-5952
raiaa@assembly.state.ny.us

The two that I know for sure are no longer on the committee are Miller and Castelli. The clerk ran down the list very quickly, and I'm pretty sure that Cahill is no longer a member, but I seem to have missed the fourth. I urge everyone to send emails and make phone calls to these four new members immediately! We have half an hour left today, and should start making calls early tomorrow as well.

Thank you for all that you do.

That's awesome SFF! Can you tell us when the show airs (ie: when he'll be talking about e-cigs)? Also, is there an alternate listening method? I'm about 30 miles from Albany and don't seem to pick anything up at 1300 kHz.

Sorry I didn't get back to you in time, the show airs 2-6pm. Here is their website:
The Capital District's Talk Radio :: Albany NY :: Talk 1300 Radio

At 5pm he had on a guest speaker who used to work for the tobacco industry (think "smoker's rights").

The guy said to ban e-cigs outright was ridiculous, and it was happening because the gov't couldn't get any $$ off of them like they do with analogs (for example: he said of the $8-$10 it costs for a pack of analogs, it only costs the tobacco company like 10 cents to make them).

He also said that of 30 people he knew that tried e-cigs, 25 quit smoking analogs outright and only a few didn't like them.

He commented how incredible that statistic was, seeing how most traditional smoking cessation methods were only about 5% effective.

All in all, a good show. I'm sure Mr. Roney will stay on top of things as they progress (or regress) ...

Heh everyone,

Here is a link to the podcast of the last hour of Al Roney's show on Talk 1300 AM:
http://www.talk1300.com/CMT/podcast/BestofAlRoney1242011.mp3

They discussed the proposed NYS e-cig ban with special guest Dave Goerlitz, the "Former Winston Man turned anti-tobacco activist".

Here's an article that I believe quotes n2xe.

It also shows that Andrew Raia deserves a huge amount of thanks, as he appears to be one of the three legislators who voted against the bill.

WNYT.com - New York legislature is considering ban on Electronic Cigarettes

Andrew Raia - KUDUS

Rosenthal countered "if people want the easy way to
just get addicted to another nicotine delivery system,
I hope soon they'll have to look elsewhere."

Ms. Rosenthal is a "Certified" NUT!
