I'd say Ammit and nano are both really nice. Ammit advantage is the slimmer profile if you want something for the Pico or for a clean fit on a tube mech. Nano is just plain beautiful to build for, and the 50% greater eliquid capacity is nice for me. I find flavor on both excellent. Maybe I'm just lucky but my very first 0.45 ohm twisted 26 kanthal coil, rayon wicked, tastes great in the nano.

Where did you place the coil in relation to the posts? In the middle or closer to the top of the posts? Gathering tips before I build mine.

I did middle, centerline of the coil lined up on a centerline between the two holes, and also lined up so the wick drops straight down to the eliquid ports. Maybe I'm too easy to please, but I'm getting really solid flavor with this easiest-possible installation [emoji5]

Thanks! Enjoy!
Since you used rayon did u do the usual angle cut of at least 50% of the wick ends?

I have to try Rayon...
You're missing out if not. The flavor is better because the wick transports better/more juice to the coil. You can hear the difference as it's cooled down more by liquid, so generally one needs a slight bump of power to make up, compared to cotton. Cotton is great though, but rayon just slightly edges it out imho. I don't pack it as tight as others, and just slightly more than cotton, but not much... Get e.g. a pack of rayon-balls if wanting to test it without buying the bigger lifetime-bags. I use tidi balls myself as having a hard time finding the graham big boxes locally, and shipping kills it for me.

It's the opposite here the giant boxes of Sally's Beauty Graham Cellucotton (rayon) is pretty cheap. I got a bag of Delasco's 100% rayon balls as suggested by @JeremyR and it was relatively more expensive than the giant box. Couldn't find the Tidi as it was recommended as better than the Graham's.

Haven't received my Nanos yet, but they're on the way. I just noticed that you go all the way to the bottom of the channels and rest quite a bit of wick in the well underneath. Is this what all of you do? I'm not questioning it, just curious, because I wouldn't have thought to do that myself (first top-airflow RTA for me). BTW, I use rayon mostly, because it's just easier for me, and I realize you use cotton, Rick. My wick application may differ than yours then, so I just wanted to be sure that's how I should wick also.

@ricks is a mtl mostly vaper so that wick placement works for him. I believe most are just tucking in the channels but not touching the base. @mhertz, @markfm , @TrollDragon & I use rayon read upbove as to @markfm reply to me re wicking.

Rayon or cotton should not make much of a difference. The only difference between them is the amount of wick in the coil. Less for cotton and more for Rayon in the coil.

I like my wick ends touching the bottom. It works for me. When I take the base off there is barely any liquid sitting in there.

How is your liquid going to get to the wick if it's not touching the bottom?
By normal vaping motion(tilting), and only when the tank is almost empty, as else there's no issue as the liquid goes under the base and up to the holes where the wick is, like kayfun v5, ammit, boreas etc etc. Think e.g. the limitless/avocado and likewise RDTAs where many just cut the wick a little under the top and still OK. Note, not saying it's wrong to wick like you at all :) I did notice that in the suckmymod review of this tank, then he stated it was important to not let the tails touch the bottom. I don't know why he stated that, as I wouldn't think that would be an issue either, just maybe not needed. I haven't tried wicking to the bottom myself yet, but generally go for shortest amount necesary.

I see some reviewers say to not let the wick touch the bottom. I don't get it... I think it would wick better if the wick ends touch the bottom. This is only my opinion and it works for me. Anyone else do it this way?

I also saw a reviewer stating that these will NOT work for MTL vaping. He's crazy and coils his incorrectly...

The bottom line is if it works for you then keep up the good work. The Engines are a forgiving atty.
