I see some reviewers say to not let the wick touch the bottom. I don't get it... I think it would wick better if the wick ends touch the bottom. This is only my opinion and it works for me. Anyone else do it this way?

I also saw a reviewer stating that these will NOT work for MTL vaping. He's crazy and coils his incorrectly...
LOL, I know who you refer to... When he said that, I thought WTF, have you even tried it, as I knew about your experience from this thread? Anyway, it very possibly wicks better, I personally don't know honestly, and will try it out too to compare.

While I don't have mine yet ime I have several attys where people say don't block the juice holes with wick or don't let them touch the bottom.I don't get it.I have never had any problems doing it with 80 vg. How does a wick block juice holes?Maybe if you stuff too much wick in them?

I actually flooded one of mine today... That's what I get for trying to squeeze too much liquid in it.

Flooded as in the coil, or flooded as in "I couldn't see the juice level and kept adding until it ran down all over me" which is the one issue I have with the top side fill.

The tank is sorta different than a typical RTA. It isn't a deck with juice holes running down the side which wick from side holes. Here the deck is slightly elevated and the juice feeds up through the juice holes drawn by the wicks.

Similar to my Kayfuns and Lemo 2.

Never had a Lemo, but IIRC the KF has two slots the wicks lays across and the juice flows down the sides of the slots then brought across by the wick. Here it's drawing up from literally under the build deck. What works for me is have the tails sitting just in the hole, sort of held there so they don't flop around, but not through to the bottom of the base. I could see where stuffing a whole bunch of wick into those holes might result in a dry hit.

It gurgled while trying to take a vape. It over flowed into the air chamber when I over filled it. I had the tank on its side filling it.

I used to pack my wicks in the wells on all my Kayfuns...

Ah. Blech. That chamber is hard to clear with the airflow on top, you can't blow through to force it out the air slots into a tissue. I usually fill mine at about a 45 degree angle. It gives me an even fill without any air trapping or whatnot.

I built my nano with the supplied Clapton coil and wicked it with dm Viskose (dm Rayon balls). I prep the dm ball by unrolling it and folding half back on itself. Trim off the fold and form a round wick on that end. Pull enough of the wick through, holding the coil in place with fingers or a thumb nail. I cut off the long excess and pull the wick back and forth in the coil. Fluff the ends out with a pin, cut the upper 50% of the tail 1mm from the coil end. Trim the remaining tail even with the edge of the base, fold and tuck into the juice holes. I usually poke a pin down through the wick tails quite a few times where they enter the juice holes, just to make sure they are fluffy and not bunched up. Prime, fill and vape!

My wick tails poke a little past the holes, I vape MaxVG juice on the provided Clapton at 60W without any problem. You can always pick out a little bit of the wick going into the holes later on if it is too much.

Rayon is NOT used the same as cotton, much more density in the coil and the tails thinned out by 50% or more. With the proper amount of Rayon in a 3mm coil on the nano, you could probably thin the tails by 70% and not have any flooding after you fluff the tails and tuck them into the juice holes.

@ricks uses 100% PG I think, so that would require much less thinning of the tails.

OBS side filling is excellent, I have become quite spoiled by it!
Crius Plus and now the Engine Nano..

I always worry about a spill. I do like it on both tanks (Engine and Crius+) but I wish I could see the fluid meniscus better. Ah well, nothing is ever perfect.;)

I think Ive finally found my go to travel tank
Had to do a lot of errands today took my nano with me
It was 85 degrees or better I forgot and left it in the truck with windows upafter an hour i came back and the tank was laying on its side on the seat
Not a drop leaked out this is the only tank i have that will do that
So far the flavor has been fantastic with a 2.5mm coil 26ga 7ohm
my cotton just barely goes down the holes the coil is placed about even with the post holes air flow completely open
I just orderd another in black

Review from Daniel

His tips wrap at least 3.5mm I.d. Coils for best flavor, if using single wire coils close off airflow for best flavor. Wrap coils counterclockwise.
That is the only thing I don't like about the tank is the backwards coil wrapping... ;)

I fill both right to the top, 45 degree tilt at the start then 90 degrees till the juice is level with the hole.

I use the same fill method on the L+ and Combo. :D
