After a couple of weeks of tinkering with the two Nanos I give up.
Just not working for me with the new air flow side channels. I ordered two more minis last night as I can't find a fault with them.
Another issue I found with the Nanos is it has been very difficult to get the machine residue out of that thin walled chamber on the Nano's new airflow. No toothbrush or anything is going to fit into the tiny space. Several traditional soakings haven't fully removed the foul taste. I will box them up and chalk it up to a learning experience.
Glad they are working well for some of you here.

Im using 2.5mm I.D single kanthal now it seems to be the middle ground of having enough wick to fill the juice holes and still having a smaller coil
Im almost getting flavor overload
Im vapeing a strawberry, coconut, pineapple juice and the flavor is strong and clouds a great

Got mine in. Having some learning curve issues. Been a dual coil temp control 316l vapor for some time. Going single coil has thrown me for a loop. My typical temp sweet spot was 420 deg. With a simple 8 wrap I think it was 3 mm .53 ohm I can't go above 13 watts without bouncing off the temp control and my evic mini throttling it back to like 8 watts. Pretty weak vape at the moment. Tried a 2mm coil and it was even worse.

Any 316l temp control non Clapton coil people out there that can tell me about their build.

Golly, I don't know but you've got me concerned. I own eight eVic VTC Minis, and you've described the coil I might very well be wrapping. Currently I've got a Merlin with a 26AWG SS316L round wire 3mm 8-wrap running on one of them, 0.58ohms at 28W. TC is set to 450F, and I'm not bumping the protection unless I drag about 6+ seconds (which I normally don't). When my Nanos get here (ETA Thursday) I'll try to replicate your experience.

I went the Bondhus screwdriver route. My hands thank me every time I use them instead of the L-shaped allen wrenches :)

Thise are the best things I have ever bought for rebuilding. Went for the whole set as well, the smaller for my vape gear and the bigger ones for my tool box. They do sell the small 1.27mm in a 2 pack but there are tanks you need the 1.5mm and the whole set is not crazy expensive.
