What's with the different numbers on these boxes, what does it mean? 44060, 44070, 44043, 44130, and 44045, etc.

different part/model numbers. you need whatever ones say 100% rayon. 44130 is the 40ft box of rayon I got to test last summer on amazon and am still using. Once that get's low I will be buying a big box locally. I don't recall which number is the big box of rayon.
As HD said, they vary the part number based on what you buy. They have 40', 500', 3lb (900'?), maybe a few others, the only thing is to make sure the box says rayon, not cotton, not reinforced rayon.
On flavor, other than the first 10 seconds or so of pulsed break-in/rewetting, best I can tell rayon passes the flavor cleanly. It is a pretty pure/clean wicking material.
I started with the 40' box, still have some, recently picked up the 3lb box HD shows from Sally's.

#44043 is the lifetime supply box. Those are the item #'s. Like everyone said above as long as it says 100% rayon. Graham's Cellucotton is the name, check for 100% rayon. They have other boxes within those item #'s you listed that are cotton you don't want those.
I have found that if I don't clean my hands well it could cause a funky taste in New wicks. I now wash my hands and more important my finger tips just before installing my Rayon wicks and I'm getting instant great flavor.
NO Break-in period at all. Maybe the oils in my skin or my lotion for my dry cracked hands may have been giving me a strange taste???

I'm liking the engine nano and mini ok but not loving them like you are. I even switched my lemonade liquid back to using a merlin.
I know you like a restricted airflow. Have you tried the digiflavor siren? I have one and really like it.
I got the 22mm gta. It's super easy to wick. You just make sure there's enough to fill the slots on the side and then run the wick down to the bottom of the tank.
