The TC on both the smok alien and AL85 leaves a lot to be desired. I use both in watt mode. The advantage of SS builds, you can use on your dna boxes in TC, and the others in wattage. I also don't find the TC on the Pico anything to write home about either. In comparison, in my subjective experience, I found the RX200s and Presa 100 to have serviceable TC. Unlike some reports, with 0.25-0.5 ohm SS builds I never got dumped out to watt mode. Granted, both are back in their boxes as part of my stash as I'd rather use my DNAs, but they're still nice backups.
I guess I've never experienced good tc control until my Hohmtech Slice. I've tried on various mods & thought meh until I tried on my Slice it works.

Hohm does TC well (even though the Kanthal thing remains controversial). I would say any of the FSK, DNA, and YiHi chips are the way to go if you really like TC. If you're not a fan of TC then the premium in price is probably unnecessary.
I totally agree!

Much love for FSK & DNA TC in my house as well. The Minikin 2 and iPV8 also provide a very serviceable TC.

I switched over from SS316L to NiFe70 for my builds. Really enjoying the TC vape from it, a TCR of 0.005250 brings it just under Ni200 in resistance swing and the wire is great to work with.

There is a DNA Steam Engine CSV for it to.

I use NiFe52 quite a bit for rolling my own coils. Performs at least as well as the SS430 I use. Both are great to work with and both have high TCR values. I get all that sort of wire from zivipf.com as other sources have delivered other than what I ordered.

I don't think I've ever used 316L past a quick install/remove because of some mod or tank I had that simply didn't like the 316.

I absolutely vape for flavor. I love my OBS Cheetah with a beefy build in it to knock out Flavor. I've been using my Nanos for a few months now and since day 1 I've never had any issues building or wicking or getting top notch flavor. I like to use 316L Alien Coils in my nano ohms out to around .28-.32. Since day one this is where I've positioned my coil, cuz I measured inside the chamber to see how far up the airflow holes are. And for wicking I use Cotton Bacon V2 always in everything it's my fav and I use enough cotton to go through the wick holes and BARELY touch the deck. It's been incredible every build since day one and gives me better flavor than any other RTA. See my pics for example and give my method a try and you'll experience for yourself how awesome the Nano can be.

I guess that averages out as a "maybe"

Obviously anything can be closed off enough to be MTL useable, but it often doesn`t quite work out out as expected.

So it`s worth a test then as it`s definitely not a 100% no way.....personal preference will be the decider. :thumb:

($20.61- that`ll do - bought)

I find it 100% a great MTL tank. Have you tried it????

Depending on how intense I want the flavor and what resistance ohms I wanting in that build I wrap either 2.5 or 3.0 ID Coils. I've found 2.5 ID gives stronger flavor FOR ME but that could have something to do with faster ramp up time since I only use intricate Coils and where I place my Coils how they sit pretty much in the airflow slots

Alright. Technically you can mtl with the Nano. But let's face it, even if you close the airflow, it still is a really airy draw, because of the large chamber.
If you like it airy, fine. No pun intended.
But for a really tight ("classical" or cigarette-like) mtl-draw, there are so many better options for mtl than the Nano. And even after a couple of months, no tank ever reached the mtl-performance of the Kayfun or some of its clones. At least in my opinion.
