I find the Engine Nano is better than the Merlin in flavor and everything else. I put my Merlins in storage after getting my 2.

The flavor may be just a little less than the Merlin RTA...or it may be just as good. I haven't been able to detect a significant difference and that's with the same liquid in each tank using them back to back.
My tank flooded today after working fine last night and this morning. Is there anything I can do or should I just rewick it?
I'd go for the rewick, no biggie, super fast with a little practice.
When you open it, look to see how the wick is relative to the juice holes. With rayon it's probably easier than cotton, since we make sure the holes are fully filled (though not packed tight). Cotton is more of a guessing game, based in how it expands a bit when wet.

All right. I wicked it with rayon last night and laid the tails over the juice holes but not through.
Oh, I'd definitely stuff them slightly into the holes, if only to keep them from shifting if the tank gets knocked around. My wicks only go in a mm or two, I don't bother touching the deck bottom.

(That's the same method I use in the avocado 24, great results with rayon for the 6 months it was my all day tank. I'll actually shift back to a new Av24 when I get my Mech Pro, a black tank on a black mech [emoji5])

Easy to have happen. My OBS is on a rough work setup, often gets knocked over [emoji5]

Same way I wick the dual Engine. Sitting a little bit in the hole, not through, and never a problem with flooding. The only time i eve ha that happen was when I wicked with too little cotton, but at the time felt "meh, it'll be OK". It wasn't.
Yes, that's the best way to deal with the wicking problems, cut your wicks in a short "V" and lay them on top of the holes, don't put them through.
I know a lot of people do it like that but I just don't get it... I have my wick ends touching the bottom.
I don't know if they always touch bottom but I always push wick into the holes on any rta. I use 70/30 and haven't had problems with dry hits. I did start only putting the wick in about half way on the merlin.
Same, I trim them into a V and have the point touching the bottom of the deck. I have had flooding issues twice, but it was my own fault, not my wicking method.
Too little cotton my first couple of builds...
I had flooding a couple times but it was caused by me trying to fill them 100% +. My guess is that I had tank sitting sideways too long and it also filled the air space??? I just cranked up the power and cooked it off.
With any luck I should have a regular dual coil engine in the mailbox when I get home tonight. With that I'll have an engine nano, mini, and regular engine.
I keep thinking about getting one of the Dual coil Engines.. What one is the best???
I don't think the dual coil Engine would work for MTL. I'm not a MTL guy so I'm not sure. I use my Engine all day everyday.
