I could have retired by now if I'd never discovered this stupid forum.
I know the feeling. Talked myself down last week from getting Reo #6, (waiting waiting waiting for the next wood sale and maybe a kick?), heard about the Titanium P2.5 and managed to not buy that today. Even spent some time looking for a dual-18650 dna but was proud I held off, (did I mention I'm waiting for the woodvils).
And then I swing by Reoville this evening and find out the Odin is back in stock....... 5 minutes later and $100 spent I now have to decide which Reo gets the new toy.
I heard vaping saves smokers money. I'm still waiting.

Can anyone tell me what Craig said? Lol rules are always spoiling my fun...

I take it that suppliers are not allowed to promo items and talk about it on ECF.... I'm curious what Craig's last post was before they were all deleted.
It's irritating not even knowing what rule was broken..........

I haven't looked at this thread till now because I wasn't interested in a RDA but it's gotten so big I had to see what the dealio. Well it appears you all love it so I have 2 questions....

All the pics are showing them on your metal REOs so will Woodvils have any problems?

I never tried a dual coil so should I get one and prefer single do these works just as good?

How about a little help please.

they need an LP will not work on a Woodvil, it's a 22mm RBA. Might work on the mechanical Woodvil if Rob makes an LP version of that.

Should you get one, in general it will hit harder produce more vapor but lose some flavor since it's large. What ohm do you make your single coils?

1.3 - 1.6Ω for the Woodvils and around 2.0Ω for my VV. I was hoping if the RM2 worked the Odin might but I guess its moot. Thanks FB

my guess is that he got deleted because he is a supplier posting in another supplier's paid forum...

it is possible, I use it on a woodville myself, but not without at least minor modification. I'm sure rob could LP your brass 510 if you don't think you can do it yourself all you need to do is remove the lip that sticks up around the base of the connector, then it would mount and work fine but it will overhang past the brass 510 of course because it's ~7 mm larger than the woodville brass 510 base.

here is what it would look like, with the lip trimmed:

and the odin mounted:

it's very usable like this and doesn't look horrible but if you wanted to you could then get a beauty ring from a provari and trim it down slightly and use it like this:

I have overhang on my other woodvil and that one I replaced the whole 510 base. my 510 is now 18mm vs the 15mm of stock but it's also pretty tall.

rob is also working on new 510's that he's testing now, I'm sure that it's possible that he can upgrade your whole 510 too eventually, you could shave the brass one for now and then get the new one installed if/when it's available.

if you're Leary of shaving your 510 in the first place then just keep one thing in mind. if the first grand was never grinded down to fit a cyclone atty on it in the first place then maybe everyone would still be using only small atties on the grands still too :) nothing wrong with modifying it a little bit :)

ETA: hi Lisa :)

You are correct. Hi Dennis. :)

We suppliers and associates have another set of rules above and beyond the set that ECF members have that we must abide by..and a few of those rules are to respect the space of other suppliers and not spam the general populous. So we get our own area that we pay for where we can post to our hearts content about our stuff. You notice that Rob and I don't go posting in other supplier forums or sales threads unless we have the express permission of that forum/thread owner first...and even then, we don't talk about our stuff. Period.

Please don't misunderstand, we are happy that people can find set ups and combos that keep them stinky free and make their vaping enjoyable. We are not elitists and have no intention to censor our forum to eliminate mention of anyone else's products. But it is fair for us to expect to not have other vendors selling their products through our space...not just for obvious reasons, but also to keep the confusion down about what we sell or what we may or may not recommend.

If you want to chat with Craig, I suggest you contact him through PM or his facebook page.

No need to get in a squabble over it, these are the rules that all of us suppliers and associates have agreed to when we signed on the dotted line. If you have any questions, you are welcome to PM me or any ECF moderators for clarification.

I think it's kind of funny how the BF Odin has exploded in popularity. I personally love it, but it's not a magic RDA. It's a larger 22mm atomizer that is easy to build on and has a pretty nice reduced chamber for dual coils with an adjustable airflow top cap. Perfect RDA for lung hitters. If you like your RM2s, RM3s, cyclones without AFC, ect... it's not going to replace those, but for LP Reo owners who like direct to lung vaping, it's great. It also works really well as a bottom feeder because the guys at LokiLab made the feed/drain hole right at the deck so you don't have any drain problems.

But let's not don't go all crazy and think this is "THE" bottom fed atomizer that will be the greatest vape you ever had. I really like it, but not all the time. If it's the only atomizer I had, I would probably get pretty frustrated when I wanted to vape with a tighter draw and more flavor. You can adjust the Odin's airflow, but it's never going to equal an RM2 or Cyclone on mouth to lung hits for flavor chasing. It wasn't designed for that kind of vaping.

I'm glad super_X_drifter (Russ) has found his absolute favorite setup in the Odin and has gone balls to the wall and switched everything he owns over to it, but remember, everyone vapes differently and not all tastes are the same. I feel like a Mom going "If super_X_drifter jumped off a cliff would you do it too?" LOL, but seriously, if you want to try out an Odin because you are dissatisfied with your current atomizer and have been looking to try something new (or not even dissatisfied, but just want to try something new), go for it, but please don't think that there is anything "wrong with you" if you get one and really are not crazy about it.

I personally have spent this last year all over the board when it comes to vaping and have found things I like about all different kinds of setups atomizer wise. I don't think I'm ever going to switch away from bottom feeders like the Reo, but I've figured out that I like different vapes on different days, and sometimes like different vapes at different TIMES of the day. I really don't enjoy blasting my lungs first ting in the morning with my .5 dual coil Odin. I much prefer a woodvil with an RM2 or my mini with a cyclone with fusion drip tip setup at about 1 ohm or so, but I've found that if I keep vaping that setup, somewhere around 1:00-2:00 in the afternoon, I get a little frustrated at the amount of vapor that I'm getting and switching over to the Odin is like a breath of fresh air (ironic no?).

Just wanted to put this out there because I keep seeing people mention that they really want an Odin because they feel they must be missing out on something great. For a frustrated lung hitter buying an Odin will be awesome, but for someone who is happy with their RM2 and vapes cig like (mouth to lung) then you are bound to be a little disappointed. It's still a well built atomizer, but not for everybody. Which is why there are not just one or two mod and atomizer styles and only a couple types of juice.

Enjoy your weekend peeps,

Kentastic

That has got to be the most awkward looking setup I've seen in awhile turbo. LOL

I agree. I mean the odin is great bang for the buck for a usa made atty and it works fine, I'd recommend it to anyone really but many atties out there also work fine too. now a days there are so many good atties to choose from and there are many others that could just as easily become a favorite to someone too. I have a bunch of different atties and there really is no clear cut winner for me, they all have there own areas they excel in and all have there things that you may wish was a bit different. I will say that the odin is pretty high up on my list of great atties though, can't go wrong with one, but not necessarily the best either. you'd have to try a bunch of different styles and decide what you like and dislike in each and again there are many really great atties out there right now and each have there merits :)

Another Woody modified for a larger than standard atty, a 16mm Reactor, which is the same diameter as the original catch cup, the catch cup was removed and machined to lower it (and LP it). I'm wondering if the new run LP Woodies will have a flush catch cup or whether they will still be raised a little. It wouldn't surprise me if Rob offers a service to retrofit the new SS 510 connector he is working on to existing Woodies, but you would have to ask him to get the real answer on that.

I would love for Craig to come up with a single-coil flavor-chaser atty, that would be the ducks nuts :) I wouldn't be surprised if he already has a design in mind, probably just going to have to wait a while, possibly a very very long while

Gil, I was contemplating LPing my Woodvil but the catchcup isn't centered on the top because of the woodvils' design. I thought it would look weird offset like that - this is a wide atty. It's also a heavy atty so it would prolly be much more prone to toppling because of the offset catchcup.

A single coil works great. A dual works even better. This is a lung hitting atty so you will want a coil in the range of .5 to .9 ohms to produce some good vapor.

The .85 ohm one I made yesterday produced good vapor but I'm spoiled by dual 1 ohm coils now and with this atty they are so easy to do.

Typed as I lung blast from my .5 odin :) LOL :)

Not only as turbo said, a very well made SS, USA made atty, what sets it apart from the others for me is not only can it be run with dual coils but single coiled and not have an open AFC on the other side. It's also got a small chamber for such a beast of an atty.

Damn. look at the Loki (Craig's) involvement with us and customer service. It sucks that his posts got deleted (I understand why) because he is one of us. He's not in here to shamelessly pimp his products, he's not advertising the other stuff that he sells - he's talking about and backing the atty WE, US REONAUTS use. He owns ATLEAST one REO and REOnauts buy Odins and Odin people buy REOs. It's a natural synergy that falls within the gray area of the supplier TOS or atleast should (IMO) in here.

It's not often (very rare) that a vape gear producer with as much class as Craig takes the time to engage the end user. I can think of 3 - Rob, Craig, and one other friend. All of their products are kick AYuss and help sell each others.

I doubt he will come back but a maker sharing info, promoting what we want, offering us discounts and talking about a product WE (REOnauts) use should be encouraged throughout this great vil we call home - not deterred.
