I think we need a group hug or something.
Here's the bottom line in my opinion. Imeo is the only guy in the market developing new vaping stuff. If we buy knock offs, eventually he'll get tired of the competition and we'll be left with Chinese crap. I hate Chinese crap! Poor material, bad machining tolerences, marginal performance.
I was going to buy 2 Ithaka's but after reading this post, put me down for 6.
Nobody here is inviting to by chinese copies.
I would have liked to have an Odysseus, I won't get one (and no, for 150 € people can keep it), but I won't buy this chinese copy, that's for sure. And this is why I got a Penelope, I'm pretty happy now and can wai, but what if someone struggles to have a GG item? Wait months?
Ok.
Why?
I already wrote somewhere else, that in my town I just can walk into a shop and buy very good products made by an italian modder (and I will not repeat the products' name here, they were already quickly
censored in the oher post, though I wasn't honored with an anwser - it appears here one cannot write what he wants, hu?); the same should apply with GG products, the quality is that good, that GG could sell way more than it does now.
Of course copies will always be produced:
I think the knockoffs occur due to popularity more so than availability. If not, then why bother to knockoff a Provari? You can always pick up one of them at ProVape, yet they've been knocked off too. There are always going to be those consumers looking to save a buck or two and quite willing to have less quality for less money. Or probably, not even realizing that they're getting a lesser product. That's the target market for the Chinese.
True. But I, as a customer, still have a choice between the original and the copy. And believe me, I own a Provari, not a vmax, zmax, ....ing lavatube or whatelse.
The same with this nautilus: 69-79 € for the copy, 90 € for the original. Oh, come on, what are we talking about? This copy has a potential market for only one reason: impossibility to buy the original. That's that simple. 10 € difference? to save 10 € one would buy this thing?
Oh, come on...
You have far more demand than product and you wonder why you get copied?

I for one hate waiting months and months on parts or devices to come available. I hate that devices and items you make get shelved for something that is not even available yet.
I do love your work but you make it hard on some people by chasing shooting stars while the rest of us wait for your return.
Maybe you need to rethink the line "I only care for my customers." You do have good customer service but you do lack in the supplying the demand department.
And IMO if you decide not to honor your warranty any more I feel more people would not buy the GG products at the current price.
You miss the point, the void he creates with lack of product over his making new stuff is what allows the knock offs. They see that there is a dollar to be made in his products absence and shoot for it.
Of course than, I do not know which difficulties could arise from a larger production, I'm not an expert, but as said before i have an example with products in Italy, namely ****, ******* and ***** by ****§§, which are always available in the shop. (already censored, no reason to bother here)
