Hmmm. I'll have to find some cotton sash cord. I prefer wicks with a tubular weave rather than a yarn style twist.

Agreed. Or even a woven weave, like iAtty wick. Wish we could get in touch with Imeo's official wick supplier to see if they can make us custom wicks :/

I tried cotton wool too (100% cotton, organic farming, untreated, boiled for 10 minutes) but it didn't gave me a good flavour, especially on fruit flavours. tobacco flavours were ok, a bit more intense/darker though.
I dunno if I should try it again, maybe my material isn't the right one?

Did you try this in the Ody Manni?

Jupp, first in DripTip mode and then in big tank mode. I dripped and filled the first tank with tobacco flavour. Then made a new coil to test fruity flavours but the taste was far from the clear Ody taste. I miss the words but there was an odd flavour below the fruity flavour. The wick looked quite good. It was black under the coil but not burned, well maybe a bit burned but I was able to wash out most of the black stuff later and the wick was fine.

Edit: Looking back at this picture (that was the "fruit coil") after a week or two I might have had a too tight coil. I might give it another try with more looseness on the coil like Poppa D mentioned.

I think this needs more testing Manni, as you say try looser coil wrap and definitely different types of cotton as well. Looks promising, thanks pal.

I'm at the second experiment, this time with 3 strands of cotton yarn (#8), the first time I used 2 strands, it worked very good but I think the coil was too tight.

First experiment: 2 #8 100% cotton yarns, 1 Ody short tank.

Next: Will try cotton gauze :D
