Whoo hoo +++++++++++++++++++++++++ 110 on this

First, let me apologize for missing a whole day but when I saw the postings, I had to back away before I said something that would require Imeo to remove me as an Associate.

One of the things about the internet that so many love is its anonymity. The downside to that is a person or their username is only known to others by the level of integrity or respect they give and receive.

What some don't comprehend is that old phrases like honor and respect are not granted for life. They are like a paycheck. You don't work for 2 weeks, get a paycheck and live on that indefinitely. You have to earn, just like a paycheck, every day.

That said, I have no issues with you CarolCrocbag. We have always got on well to my knowledge. What you may not realize is that there are no shades of gray in honesty. You are either honest or you are a liar.

Terms like "deception", "deceit", etc are just politically correct ways of calling someone a liar. As a forum moderator I only get to see a small bit more than the regular users but I can tell you that my friend Imeo is one of the most honorable and respected men I know.

I have seen users misrepresent, falsify and outright take from him. Imeo never makes a scene over it. He chooses to say someone made a mistake, give them the benefit Steve. And his reward for always allowing people the benefit of the doubt, he is treated like this.

Carol, what you call a "full picture" is like me or anyone else. It is what you want to make it in your own thinking. To come on a sub-forum and accuse a man with honor and decency of creating a deception about a few square centimeters of stainless steel mesh is ludicrous.

Imeo deserves better than that and while you seem vindicated in your quest for a "full picture", please recall what I said. It is a fact that we all are known here only by our words and deeds. In this case as in many others, Imeo has silently again proven himself to be a person deserving of our respect.

And for the record, Imeo made a video last May comparing the steel mesh against regular wick and his impressions on regular being better in his opinion. I hope I haven't put Imeo in a need to revoke me from his forum but some things just simply cannot go unchallenged.

Because I want to use SS wick. If my memory serves me correctly, anyone who got the SS wick working on the iAtty, they prefered it. How did you prefer the XC-116 over the SS wick? I have had both (Yes mine was kiln fired.)and SS wick wins hands down imho.
Also I was dissapointed that Imeo did not state the real reason why he did not want to use SS wick, i.e. because of copyright and instead said it was because of health reasons.
If we are "friends" here, I would of liked to have been told the whole truth.

Carol, what's your point here? That Imeo lies and we all swear to it? I have tried SS and don't like it. Why discuss something that doesnt belong in this forum? And yes, we are all friends here, and mosty all friendly comments until i came across yours

Vacum is very strong stefano so the liquid has to go somewhere. It goes (via threads) inside the small tank under the rebuildable part and it also goes under the mouthpiece so it floods the center pole of the Ody and the gurgling result occurs. After some inhales, you bring this liquid again on the wick by inhaling so after some inhales it stops.
Srew the big cap, then put o-ring, then the small cap
I'll try again so that advise! It just is not clear where the liquid goes, if everything is closed until the end. Is the vacuum hood so strong? Probably! Thank you Gredie :)

Thank you very much Imeo and Gredie. I tried twice and it seems that this is the reason, I closed the Ody with two connected parts.

Here is a video of thanks

Stefano, here's what I've noticed... As Imeo said, there is definitely some pressure which gets created when we are screwing down the top cap. However, I don't get any gurgle or leaking after I screw down my top cap unless I start unscrewing the mouthpiece right away after the top cap is tightened.

I fill up my ODY all the way up to the top so that I don't have to refill it as often. So, if my ODY is completely full when the mouthpiece is closed all the way down, that liquid will be pushed if I open the mouthpiece too much in the beginning and will obviously flood the wick and coil and result in leaking since it has to escape somewhere. So here's what I do: After the refill, I start vaping with the mouthpiece fully closed. When I start noticing that it's getting a little dry, I open the mouthpiece only half a turn and vape some more. After a couple of minutes of vaping I open it another half a turn and keep on repeating this until I get to 4-6 half turns which is where I leave it for vaping the rest of the tank.

This is what works for me every time now. I had some gurgle and leaking initially until I stopped opening the mouthpiece right away after tightening the top cap. I don't know for sure if this will help you or not but I just wanted to share my experience.

fright, no reason to remove manually the o-ring because it will get removed either when you will screw the first big cap:)

I only remove it completely because I accidentally popped it off once and almost lost it. If I remove it and put it aside I know it won't pop off or fall off lol. I also remove it because I forgot to remove the o ring once on my iAtty when I went to wash it and the o-ring went down the drain. I have backups now just in case but waste not want not.

Yes, and I hold the mouthpiece when fully closed after filling. Gargling is a very short time and then open the mouthpiece depending on the density of liquids. Now everything is fine, no leaks, it is essential. I still have no word for feeling good vaping Ody! I was left with only one problem, I have every day changed the setup, after more than 10 ml of fluid consumed per day :)

Haha, I know what you mean... I was making 1-2 different coils per day for the first few days trying to figure out what I like the best :) (using Kanthal 32awg). I finally decided to try the R wire that came with my ODY on Monday and I've been vaping with that same coil for over three full days now. I definitely prefer the thinner wire as it's been suggested by a few people, it just works better for me. I know I'm not done experimenting yet but I can't imagine it being any better than it is right now. I'm very very very happy! This is what I've been waiting for! :thumb:

I think Zutma got his today... Let's see what he has to say :)

By "prefer the thinner wire" - do you mean the Kanthal or the stock Nichrome? (i'm assuming you mean the Kanthal)

I was thinking thinner in general but I guess in this specific case I mean the Nichrome since that's the only thinner wire I had the chance to try. I don't currently own any other thinner Kanthal wire (34 or 36). The thinner wire seems to complement my vaping style better because I prefer taking shorter drags and it seems to react and heat up quicker. What's your experience?

I may be crazy but I think he was referring to the fact that the stock gauge being 36 AWG more than the type. I am getting some kanthal as well and thanks to Fright, can try other gauges but this 36 will be hard to beat for my 2.4-2.6 coils! :)
