Hold the phone! You can re-use coils? Please tell me how - just unwrap carefully and put on a new wick??

That is correct. There are a couple tricks to it. One is you have to be carefull because the res wire becomes a little brittle and it can be tricky if you don't leave enough wire to work with.

Hi Yeti, yes, like that, just unwrap carefully and use on a new wick. In my experience sometimes the coil just breaks when wrapping to the new wick, it must be due the use (getting hot and cold, hot and cold), I know after some use, the coil electrical / mechanical properties could change, increasing the resistance for example. But I have re-used many coils :)

Or you could use the method of making a coil and install the wick on top of it (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/218019-vv-ggts-ftw-14.html#post4937446), it allows an easy way to change the wick without unwrapping the coil.

So you would twist the wires together "as usual", winding the one end around the stem under the ceramic, then before putting the rest of the Ody pieces together, lay the wick on top of the wire?
Actually, I guess before that you would need to wrap the wire around, say a paper clip?

3v and it still satisfies you Stefano? I am very glad to hear that. As for your video....... its epic!!

I noticed right away that my voltage preference with the Odysseus was lower for the same ohm setup with the Iatty....don't know why, but it produces more vapor and flavor at lower settings (which is great). I've checked it over and over again and it's not my imagination...just does. Anyone else have the same experience?

I'm running a 3.5 ohm coil now and have it dialed in on the VV mod @ 4.4v

I've never owned an iAtty but have attempted many LR configurations with different atties in the past and I could never find real satisfaction at 3.7V with 1.5 ohm and that's why always preferred HV vaping. Since I got my ODY, I'm getting an unbelievable vaping experience to the point that I haven't even been tempted to try it at HV. I'm currently vaping a 1.7 ohm coil at 3.7V and just couldn't be happier. You are right and I agree, there is definitely something about it that makes it perform better. I don't know what it is...

I have been thinking about that, and I think is due the space in the "cobustion chamber" on the Odysseus the space is smaller than the one on the iAtty (the space inside the cone is bigger), so maybe the result is that on the Odysseus that space get filled with vapor faster, generating more and more dense vapor.

Wow Oddy, I'm interested in trying the 1x2 crimp beads!

I assume that these are 2mm in diameter?... which crimp tool do you recommend using?

no these are 1x1mm, there fine to use but i just want to try 2x1mm (1mm dia) because the way i make the wire (with hooks)

the 1x1 are fine to use without hooking the ends but by hooking them up then crimping the joint exactly makes for a super secure connection, the 2x1 will just allow more room for error.

i only use snipe pliers to crimp also.

This is my first edited video, thank BP for the intro :2cool:

Haha - no problem. I also enjoyed watching the facial expressions as you puff away. very fun.

I'm still practicing, to prep for a video of my own, and playing around with different R wires. My weak spot at the moment is wick - I've been building so many, trying to get it down, that I'm almost out of wick, and no word yet on when Bruce will have more (hopefully soon!!!!)

Hey b, will have more wick from Imeo when he ships the Ody parts.

I made a dual coil with Nichrome from Imeo and my silver NR wire. First one came out at 1.6 ohm. 6 volts and Wow! Awesome vapor!
I love this thing!

You've got a crowd waiting on Odyss and wick
