I think it will work ana. As for the Ody thread, its not very active because Ithaka is an improved ody:)

As ana has said, ithaka has improved by miles but for me ithaka will never beat Ody the king. I'm sorry but its true. I've set up my ithaka so many times trying to match Ody but for some strange reason can never get the same taste from it. It's like as though flavour has been diluted too much on ithaka where as the Ody is just full on flavour and throat hit.

Yes, it is very much improved , but Im true to what I fall in love with. Im flawed that way.:)

Your not the only one in love with Ody ana lol.
Im wondering how many I should order in the next big pre order lol :D

One for each PV you own:) I have parts enough for 4 complete set ups now. I always have 2 going. You should put your Ithaka internals and base up for sale and keep the top caps, mouthpiecs and body parts for use on Odysseus for a change of clothes.

Dang, guess Im the only one keeping the Odysseus thread alive:)

Ive been wondering for a while now about making the air intake holes near the 510 connection on my Odys a tad larger for more air and more clouds? Has anyone done this or would adding more air intake only affect things if I was using real low resistance set ups?

I noticed on some of my center pins that the openings on the ends could be expanded a bit by pushing a small nail into the end. Some of them were slighty tapered at the opening. I also used the same method the expand the air holes near the 510. It obviously doesn't make big adjustments but I found them to be noticable. No matter how big your 510 thread holes are though, your intake will always be limited by the ID of the center pin.

Hey River, you mean you made the slots on the end of the center pin a bit wider? Or did you take a pin down the whole center pin shaft?

no but now that you mention it, I think some people did widen the slot at end...or was that for Ithaka? I know I saw a post about it fairly recently.
I widened the holes above the 510 threads on the base. And the opening on the top (sorry, wasn't clear about this) of the center pin. Since they were slightly tapered inward, I used a nail tip larger than the ID of the center pin to "push" the metal outward.

Not just yet. Need to do more tests and if it still doesn't satisfy me then I might keep some parts and sell others or sell the whole ithaka and spend the money on an Ody lol :-

i will say raj, i wouldn't sell my Ithaca's.... but (just for conversation) i would defiantly not sell my oddys.

i will say it , i dont want to but i will. i think the oddy is as good or ...here we go... better in some small indescribable way than the ithaka.

i have two Ithaca's that i vape daily and LOVE, but the oddy on a v1 ggts is never far. (i like the 4 drilled holes better than the slots on the v1 ggts)

i am not saying this to in any way troll for an argument. i truly LOVE all GG products and Imeos imagination and COV for supplying.

i am a true fan boy of gg and the gg family.

i have the gurgling issues with my ithakas (ITS MY ONLY ISSUE ) i havent mentioned it because i truly felt it was user error on my part.
so when my new center pin nut arrives my opinion may change.
but the oddy v2 is still my favorite all around traveling, stay at home, drop it in the mud, run over it with the tractor (yes that really happened) vape ... as of today:)

much love to the gg family!

NOT intentional i assure you Yankee! slipped out of my pocket and right into the mud, then ran over it with the tractor and drove it in the ground like a railroad spike. no BS. sadly this has happened more than once!
Pulled it out of the ground like it was a stainless steel carrot , gave it a quick field strip and wash with the hose ... and continued vaping.

TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH!

i have taken my ggs everywhere. from big city black tie dinners , to the small town pig roasts. it always fits in, looks good, performs well and ALWAYS gets compliments.

how many things in life do we own that are that versatile or get that kind of response?

GG and my wife, perfect, versatile ever changing and adapting life partners.

oops! i should of said my wife first, not gg! ehhh, i'm ok she doesn't read ecf. LOL:)

 very true. Its versatility is beyond words. Truly. When I could vape at work at my desk I would get people that were looking for the "fresh baked brownies" only to then be discussing what they called my "hooka" or "missile". Oh the stories.
Now I have to keep a Penelope or ody drip on a Piccolo or Gus 16 I recently acquired from a good buddy here because they've banned vaping and smoking on campus and you never know where I'll be able to sneak one in.

I used to be a Genesis fan. With a couple of GG attys. now I only have one Genesis left and the family is almost all GG.

Okay, I ve got a problem with a part I recently got from the last preorders, where I got it COV/ E-Smoke has nothing to do with it as they came from where they were manufactured.

I ordered a 510 base and the first one was in bad shape, it was very rough and the threads were full of burrs, and my rebuildable unit would not screw in all the way to make contact with the center pin. I could not get the pin to stick out at least a mm from the edge. Also the 510 of the base was crooked, as if it fell and got dented. The bottom of the base was also marked up as if it had been used for a while.

I contacted the seller and they apologized and mentioned that they could not control what is sent to them , but they try to take a look at the items. No problem, I understand sometimes something slips through. Today I got the replacement and it is even more badly finished, rough on the bottom, sharp edges, threads are rough and my rebuildable unit does not screw in. I tried sanding the inside threads with real fine paper but something must be off on the CNC measurements. I can not get the unit to screw in completely so I can get enough of the 510 pin to make contact.

I love these products but I guess someone has not calibrated the machine or QC is really off. Now I have 2 510 bases that are unusable. I hope that someone checks things out and I can get a good replacement. Its sad when I compare these parts to my old 510 base and all the parts come together and apart with no effort.

A few weeks ago I posted about having problems with what I thought was the pins, I now think that its been the base all this time. I have 2 old 510 bases and one that I got from the pre-orders about 6 months ago. I think that base though it does let me screw in the rebuildable unit all the way down, it does take some effort. The 2 newest ones are really off with their measurements.

I hate to complain but if now one says anything, than no one is aware there is a problem.
