Even if I think that Odysseus is a crazy project, I still wanted to make it even better. But I failed this time. I will show you a video about how it vapes and then I will show you its internal parts

Maybe I should tell you of all my failures and you will feel like a saint :)

That's a good link Zor. A pourous non-vitreous ceramic (bisqueware) is probably what you want. Any ceramic fired to the vitreous state is going to lose a lot of wicking ability. Ideally if the pores are small enough, and evenly distributed it should minimize any structural loss. However, because it's bisqueware and with added pores it will be more fragile. I think it's a wonderful idea (I've even attempted to produce a crude version of this idea, didn't work the first try, won't be the last try) and I think it will provide a semi permanent/ permanent substrate for a coil. I'm off to read the link! Me thinks their products will be far more consistent than anything I can make

There is also the potential to use a hardened vitreous ceramic composed of tiny beads, creating gaps between the beads. It would be substantially more stable, and less breakable. vary the size of the ceramic beads and it will vary the size of the gaps between them. (Like a ceramic airstone used in aquariums) the bigger the ceramic beads the bigger the gaps (more porous) The smaller the ceramic beads (particles) the smaller the gaps between them :) Might take a few prototypes to work out what porosity you want. but then :) you might just be golden... well you're already Golden Imeo ;)

Ok, so what about this: A porous ceramic tube.... Hmm, having a hard time putting it in words. Ok, so imagine a circle with a line through it. That line is what you wrap your coil around. The circle is actually a hollow tube that goes all the way around the atty.. Would only work with a different mouthpiece bit, though. Additionally, you could actually make the tube and rod (coil bit) separately, having the rod actually be ceramic around a metal rod to make it stronger. Just slot the ceramic tube and lay the rod in the groove. As long as the surface contact between the two pieces is great enough it should wick.

How did I miss most of this thread?

Thanks for all the videos in English, Imeo! The original video in Greek was a nice preview but I didn't quite understand exactly what it all meant and how it all worked together specifically. And I couldn't really appreciate all the improvements since I've never owned or used the original iAtty. But the Odysseus in the mini modes looks just fantastic!!! I can't see myself needing and using anything in the longer version with all the extras but the mini mode is exactly something I want for my vaping arsenal. Very impressive for sure!!!

Oh, and you made the SS Stealth cap? Yippee!!! Thank you.

I've watched all of the Ody vids twice now - although admittedly... they're SO simple, the second time was basically not even necessary - just for fun. Heck, after carefully watching the Greek one a couple times, I almost feel like the English vids weren't necessary at all.

The simplicity is just awesome. Even in your explanations. I was expecting to learn some part names with the English. Like as I'm watching the Greek vid, I'm thinking - I wonder what he calls that, is that the "Ceramic Housing", or "The Atomization Chamber Structural Shield" or something? Nope. Its "This.. Metal Piece". Works for me! :D

Can't wait to get in some practice at building those atties. (I don't have an IAtty, so this will be a fun thing to get the hang of)
