I forgot to mention the wonderful trick about the Ody's capacity!!!!! I think that we just doubled it and Ody takes more than 5 ml of liquid?

Some people have been waiting for Phil to finally do this review, well here it is!!! I thought I would share this video with everyone, because some just have not seen Phil's video's, and this is the first time he had any experience with an rebuilbable !

seriously : HELP ME!
this happens to me all the time recently and i dont know why, i am getting VERY frustrated with my odys at the moment .... one of 3-4 wicks work, the rest burns through after a couple of seconds/minutes/hours
i am doint everything as always ... was quite happy with the short mode for almost half a year and now i suddently cant get it to work anymore ?
running out of wick because i burn so many .... (and, again, i couldnt get any at e.smokeguru)
really, any help would be appreciated.

does anyone have a clue why this happens :
i recently made a new coil for my ody in shortmode ... 0.2mm kanthal wire, wick doubled in the ceramic ...
and it burned 2 or 3 days after, the no resistance wire in the ceramic!
so i redid the wire yesterday ... and today it burned again! again the positive no resistance wire in the ceramic ...
does anyone have a clue ?

and :

i dont have a lot of problems with the long mode, but cant a satifying solution to the dripping problem
did it as always, was dripping a drop every second.
out of curiosity i screwed on the short mouth piece and refilled again : no dripping, no problems
so it HAS to be the mouthpiece of the longmode. i dont want to put an o-ring between the nut and the mouthpiece, swimming in the liquid ... is there a better way ? (putting the wire around the nut for almost 360° didnt work either, putting it around the wick without putting it on the nut didnt work as well ... )

I have not burnt out coils but I have one ody that works fine and one that leaks a ton. Have watched lots of vids and have tried what I have seen and it still leaks/pours full, 1/2 way open juice control, closed control, tight fittings, finger tight fittings etc. Interesting the videos have matued over a short time and a few address different techniques that will help prevent leaks. Also the long mode mouthpiece wiggles around so maybe it is a bad ceramic housing or threading, whatever. As far as the Ody that does not pour out liquid, I like it as much or more as any of my other rebuildables.

UPDATE; A LARGER O-RING ON THE NECK OF FILLER CAP PORTION DID THE TRICK;THANKS IMEO!

I was hoping for the same thing when I saw that in his video but you don't really get much more... If you notice at the beginning, he was filling it up only to the top of the bottom part of the mouthpiece, about 2ml. I always fill mine all the way to the top of the main body to where it almost starts spilling. After screwing down the top cap I was able to add a couple of more drops before the juice started coming up through the top but that was it. Filling through the top cap before adding the washer works but it doesn't really offer larger capacity.

your leakage will stop to my opinion if you put a bigger o-ring around the neck of the big reffiling cap Mike:)

I had ordered a Penelope, hope is was engineered to preclude the issues so many of us have experienced. Please excuse me if I sound stupid... LOL

Exactly which part are you referring to?

Where do you put the larger o-ring?

Where can I get a larger o-ring?

I appreciate it... I've been working on my large mode leaking for ages and nothing so far has worked for me.

To fill the Ody, first you unscrew the little screw collar, then you uscrew the top cap. There is an oring in that top cap. That's the one.

No idea where to buy, I lost my original one and I couldn't find a proper replacement in my Oring box so I found one that fitted the ID (went snugly around the juice control/drip tip) and machined the od until it fit in the top cap.

Orings are very easy to machine. What I did was to find a regular plastic pen that had an OD with a snug fit to hold the oring securely, then I chucked the pen in a drill press, turned it on and sanded the oring to size with a piece of 220 grit sandpaper. I wrapped the sandpaper around a small flat piece of wood for backing pressure. Oh yea, the alternative is to buy new Orings in Clouds of Vapor but the computer was upstairs and I was downstairs...

There will be a vape meet focused on rebuildables of all kinds in Hickory, NC on Saturday, July 28th. Maybe through Sunday, July 29th.

There's already a good number of people planning to attend (30ish so far are seriously interested). All sorts of devices will be in attendance, including GG products, as well as other rebuildables. Anyone who is interested in attending, PM me with your email so I can add you to the list. There are just too many people involved now to keep it all on ECF PM's.

There will be enough room for everyone no matter how many. I have 3 hotels and a convention center available to me. Food will be catered by my Carrabba's, for nothing or incredibly close to nothing.

Anyone who wants to come and is driving in from a distance, I can get you rooms at nice hotels for under $50, (Hampton, Fairfield, Crowne Plaza nice).

Tell as many people as you want, the more the merrier.

Vendors are welcome, just PM me to get details. There will be no vendor fee for the event.

Attendance fee will be nothing if the group is smallish (50 or less), if there are more than that, we'll split the cost of the larger room and the cost of the food, but these are my costs, not retail cost. I can't see it being higher than $2-4 for the room and $4-5 dollars for huge Carrabba's buffet, even if we get 100 or more people.

Let me know, trying to get the word out to everyone quick so I can get a better idea of how many people might come. It snowballed a little bit today, 6 people turned into 30 pdq, I'd love this meet to be more like a mini convention. If interested get on the mailing list. Details will email out as they develop.
