Awesome, thanks! Gonna take it apart now - waiting at work for today to be over!

Mine was completely disassembled so I had to put it together. there was a hard plastic ring that I put under the nut. I assumed that's where it went, lol! Seemed like the only place it could go and allowed me to tighten up the nut using just the screwdriver on the inside of the ceramic.

Yep, just took mine apart and it is there.

Just did my second successful coil ever and it didn't take very long at all! Well, the first time I did one I was watching Youtube step by step. And my resistance is now 1.7 instead of 1.3 this time - yay!

I do have a question for those experienced in changing out coils. When you're on the go, what makes it easy to change them out? Do you have a bunch premade and if you don't have any scissors or anything with you how do you cut the wick?

I'm not experienced with the Ody, but I can't see any reason why you couldn't do what you're suggesting but make up each new coil using your atty piece as a guide. So just go about it as if installing a new wick and coil but don't install the wires and then move on to the next. :)

Oh yeah, duh! I guess I could just cut the wicks shorter. I guess I was planning on my master mess ups!

I believe the small plastic black washer/ring goes between the bottom of the ceramic housing on the center post. The O-ring that has been left out of some orders goes IN the ceramic housing, between the ceramic and small center nut. I'm pretty sure that particular O-ring is rubber, and not plastic.

Imeo stated that it's not required, but seems to help keep the center nut from making direct contact with the ceramic. I feel better having it there, as I'd hate to crack/break my ceramic!

I just went to Lowes and grabbed a two pack of #0534 O-rings to use while I wait for the COV o-ring to arrive :)

That's exactly where that plastic ring goes. It should be on the pin outside the ceramic housing touching the bottom of it. Order of parts on pin = inside nut, inside o-ring, ceramic/metal atomizer housing, plastic washer, round wire nut, last rubber o-ring slid on the very bottom.

Yup, I'd say go ahead and make up a few coil/wick combos in one sitting. God's speed if you're one of the lucky folks that actually have enough material to do this. While I have r/nr wire in the mail, the wick isn't easy to find. My Ody wick showed up with a 3' frey in the very center of it leaving that part useless. Not too excited about that. With 3 Penelope's on the way I'm hoping to get enough wick to keep me until more is made available. One can hope, right?

Ah, well, there's not one IN the ceramic, just below the ceramic on the pin so I guess I'll have to order one when COV gets some wick in.

I ordered these from Amazon to tide me over since I'm a Prime member & get free 2 day shipping. I love Amazon:

Ah okay, leaving it like that for a little while shouldn't hurt. It's vaping fine and not leaking. I'll change it over on the next rebuild. :)

wifes are always the problem simon axaxaxa
Thanks a lot my good friend:)
Another big thankyou to Imeo. My new mouthpiece arrived bright and early yesterday morning. Excellent shipping time from Greece to UK. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with my Ody and been giving it a hammering ever since. My juices are finally tasting good and clean. I doff my cap to you sir, another masterpiece. I'm just sorry that I bought my Provari rather than waiting for Proteus. Dont get me wrong, my set-up is fantastic but only the top half is art. Maybe a future investment if the wife will allow.

premade wire can handle any kind of volts my dear red:)
Well, the first coil that I made is starting to taste a little janky, so I'm going to attempt a new one with the premade wire that came with it. It didn't help that I started mixing a bunch of flavors in there - tobacco, orange, & cake! I'd like to eventually get a higher resistance, don't know if it'll be possible with the premade, but I'll try.

Had a couple of snafus during the initial build like fraying the wick when I was tightening down the nut & snapping off the wire before I even got it tightened on the bottom pin. Oh yeah, I also have to look to see if I'm missing the same o-ring that everyone else is. Where was that again? In the actual ceramic cup?

So I made my first coil and I had a really bad taste so I took it apart and washed everything really well like Imeo suggested. I rebuilt my second coil and the taste is still there. It slowly went away over the course of the tank. I'm thinking it's the wick or the wire that I'm tasting. Anyway, I'm getting really good flavor and throat hit but the vapor is a little lacking. Is there a way to set it up to get more vapor? I've seen videos and I know this things gives out a ton of vapor so I know I'm doing something wrong. Any help would be great. Thanks.
