Hey All,

I know this question has been asked a 1000 times but i cant remember the answer because i never thought it would be important to me.

when will there be steel tanks available for the oddy?

i have 3 oddys but was holding one for my cousin (had a plastic tank) , he picked it up from me yesterday and the brand new tank has cracks in it after one day of use ( i think juice reaction)

he fell immediately in love with his oddy and now is in fear of having down time on it. ( i can certainly understand that)

i feel really bad for him especially since he is the one who re-introduced me to vaping and since then have been analog free for a year! WHOO HOOO!:)

i cant find him another kir fanis tank (out of stock) and i would much rather get him a metal tank and be done with the potential juice reaction problem once and for all.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

thank you gg family

Interesting, I thought I read that juice starts to taste burnt at levels 9watts and up.?? Is there anything in particular or a type of juice that precludes the burnt taste at the higher wattages?

Overall wattage is not the be-all, end-all. There are many other variables involved in the end result of your vape. I read a great post recently on the subject, but I can't find it right now to link it for you . . .

In the case of Ody, it mostly has to do with how we're making our coils, resulting in high watts but relatively low watts/mm of wire. And as Imeo mentioned, if you can keep your coil fed properly it will help keep it from overheating and burning juice (air flow is also another variable that can affect whether you burn or not). By way of example, my current setup with Ody is running about 16 total watts, but this juice in a traditional store-bought cartomizer I only vape at around 7-8 watts, the main differences here are the feeding of juice to the coil and the particular dimensions of my coil

The "watts is watts" argument has been going on forever and neither side of the fence takes all the variables into consideration most of the time ;-)

I regularly vape my Odys on GGTS at 30 to 38 watts. rwelscher was telling me he went up to 45 watts. This is due to lots of air and unlimited juice flow. "Watts is watts" is fine but the temperature of the coil changes so 40 watts on an Ody is not the same as 40 watts on a regular atty that has limited juice.
