Ugh, Facebook required for entry? I don't do Facebook and never will, but good luck to those who enter!
Point taken and fair enough - Use any of the share plugins and We'll count it:vapor:!

Don't like Facebook? Use Twitter, Gmail, Google+1, Linkedln, Amazon, etc.... any of the options will be counted.

Thanks for bringing this up!:toast:

Good luck to all. NOT AN ENTRY - just a note to wolfyjr - "forced" liking is why these numbers are meaningless...I doubt everyone clicking "like" has even tried them. I haven't tried them so how would I know that I "like"d them?

Good point made. I think it's more of a perception though. I'm sure everyone here understands that one of our goals of hosting this contest is as a marketing campaign. In this instance, we are opting to give our marketing dollars to ECF members as opposed to paying for banner clicks, impressions, etc...

Requiring a "like" or other sharing through social plugin is to promote our products. It also gives us another way to track and monitor online community acceptance of our products, at least on a conceptual basis. I can see a product advertisement and can like the product (based upon description, pictures, etc..) without ever actually trying it.

I ask all customers (and contest winners:blush:) to submit reviews after trying the product. I would NEVER ask or require anyone to submit a review of our products that they have not yet tried.

Thanks for the post. Like I said in the initial posting, this is our first full-scale ECF contest and we are learning as we go.

Second posts for the win

Also: My name is different than the shipping address because it's a PO box in my gf's name and the USPS people get very angry when anything but her name comes in. I tried on the website to make the shipping address different than the account name but couldn't. This wouldn't be such a big issue if the facebook likes weren't in my name.
Anything I can do about this?
