If you have a donut tip you can afford to keep it wetter and you won't get JIM (juice in mouth). Otherwise keeping it very wet will leave you with JIM for the first few draws. I personally can't seem to find donut tips so if anyone has any advice for me let me know.
what is the difference from v1 and v2? Im using a custom long 50/50 and its working as intended , though I dont think its broken in yet.. less than a week, so far.

I don't know the scientific aspects, but visually there is a change in
1. the coil: slightly wider spacing between the winds on the wick
2. filling: he changed that up a bit, and you can see clearly a 1mm or less hole on each side of the ceramic cup.
It's a more consistent vape ... more vapor
I like the 901 but i'm used to vaping 901's over the last year that's been my atty of choice.
Breaking in:
as far as vaping, i get a more consistent quality vape...
People that say it's not broken in a week yet, makes me wonder if it's just the nature of the HH357 to be what folks call "finicky". I vape by a couple of specifics; like how much juice, matching resistance to voltage, how to draw on certain attys, but after that it's pretty intuitive. I just "feel" my way with it.
A joye LR 510 i.e. is straightforward load fire and vape; every time... tons of vapor (given the atty is in good condition). The 357 requires a different kind of draw... it's like you have to get your breath, and draw a bit harder, and what's weird is the air draw is slightly airy. Usually if you draw hard, it's because the draw is tight, not the HH. Look at the videos

what I meant by not broken in, is that I havent gotten full flavor.
But everything in the draw speeds are working fine. (consistencies/vapor production/pull strengths)
was just wondering.
A donut tip seems to be the holy grail of tips. I've made plenty of enemies trying to get one in "tippyville". Good luck. I've yet to figure out who to have sex with or blackmail to get one. An offer of extra money doesn't seem to do the trick as it's a real clique.

Don't really care much for the glass tip or the artsy style. I just want something that won't give me JIM. Isn't there a delrin donut tip anywhere in the world? How has China not knocked this off yet...
I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on an HH357, but not sure what barrel size and ohm rating is best for my style of vaping. I'm pretty much using a Lava Tube exclusively these days and have been a big fan of the Cisco spec LR306 @ 1.5ohm @ 3.7-3.8v for the last year. I like a warmer vape but hate any sputtering of liquid in the mouth. But the catch is that my juice preferences run the gamut as I like both tobacco juices and fruity juices. It really depends on what I feel like vaping at any given time, which is why the LR306 has been such a good atty for me. But I would rather have a more consistent vape with consistent draw and flavor over a longer period of time. When I vape I take quick, hard draws which is why I'm leaning towards the 357. I do clean my attys regularly, but the 306's still go away over time. I can usually get around 3 weeks off of a 306, but those last 2 weeks are never as good as that first week (after proper break-in).
So can you make please help me choose which version to try?

What voltage would I use the 2.5 ohm at to maintain the level of warm vape that the Cisco 1.5 ohm 306's are giving me now at 3.7v? Wouldn't 1.5ohm @ 3.7v work about the same since the coil's a 306 after all, or am I missing something?
Would the long barrel cool the vapor too much or should I stick to the short barrel? I'm trying the figure out what advantages there are between the barrel choices (sure wish this info were on the Avidvaper HH357 page).
I also forgot to mention that I mostly vape 80/20 PG/VG juices, but sometimes the juices themselves dictate the ratios. Still, I avoid juices that have more VG in them than PG.
I want to be able to love the HH357 as much as other vapers seem to, but don't want to make a stupid, uniformed choice in what I order that jeopardize my first impressions with this atty.

Hanna did a vid showing how to put a piece of something into the drip tip (?) i believe, to curb the spitting but now that i think of it, how do you drip through that?

1.5 at 3.7 is probably more than you need... from what i've seen. and you will want to preserve the coil; not get it too hot. If you are using a VV, 2.5 is the prescribed resistance to get better range.
btw the 1.5 HH357 is much cooler than a 1.5 cisco imo.

maintenance is included in a video by Hanna... on the site, which is more than any other as i don't recall any atomizers having cleaning or maintenance instructions. He shows how to vodka rinse and blow... MAKE SURE YOU BLOW ONLY THROUGH THE CONNECTOR J**2....
