Is a 901 a completely different threading system? What makes it different from a 306 or 510 design besides threading?

Besides the female threading it breaths a bit differently with a hole in the side of the barrel juicejunky, the internals are a tad different then a 510 too how there set

you need a 510 to 901 adapter if you dont have a 901 connector on your PV.
They tend to be a cross between the 510 and the 801. In short, they have a bit of the throat hit of a 510, and some of the flavor and coolness of an 801, imo the best of both. Lots of vapor and flavor.

add on: imo if you can't afford an HH 901, the Cisco LR 1.8 is pretty close in flavor and vapor. I just ordered a 1.5 to try out, but am really liking the 1.8 on a 3.7 mod. These taste and hit better than the DSE 901 imo.

some problems were occurring because of the coils being wound so tightly. so to remedy this i have been individually spacing out the coils by hand.

rustybikes: the two atty's pictured can be returned to me and i will replace them.

My 1.5 long barrel is acting the same way. The first 2weeks were great but now its seems like it will fire for 3 or 4 seconds but then shut off. I haven't cleaned it yet but I noticed the coils are really tight like rusty's pix. You think a cleaning will help?

No cleaning wont help if the coils are too close, if you would like to send to me for a fix, e-mail @ hybridvapes@gmail.com

i want to post this up again to show the problem...this picture below shows a coil as I get it. Notice how it sits up high out of the cup and the coils are close together. Its sits out of the juice and gets much too hot.

This is after I have set the coil and spaced it properly. Its something I do with every coil now for better wicking.

i don't know enough about electronics to answer specifically but i will say that although the 1.5 Ohm vapes almost as cool as a 2.0 or more, it is probably for sure draining batts faster at below 4v. If you go with a 2.0 at 5v it will most likely drain faster as well.
We're talking Ohms/resistance and volts/watts... so yeah it will drain faster than a typical 2.5 to 3.5 at 5v for sure.... imho.

Hey guys I got my first HH.357 today it's 2.0ohm and I have a question ... Is it okay to vape with it at 5v ? And also has anyone experienced any problems with it draining 18650s FAST?? I've been using it on my provari at 5v and it's draining my battery's abnormally fast!!

If memory serves, the Provari uses a boost circuit to get to 5v (using the 18650 at 3.7v). The boost will drain the battery faster anyway, but using a 2.0Ω pushes it even harder. Ohms law tells me that this combination will draw 2.5 Amps (5v/2.0Ω=2.5A), which is near the high end of current draw in most applications. So, yeah, it'll pull an 18650 down pretty quickly.

Can you expand on what you perceive as "abnormally fast"? The combination is certainly a valid one (it won't really damage anything), so I probably wouldn't worry about it too much.

HTH..

good point... i agree it's not a danger to the batt or Vari... if you get at least 2 18650's and a multiple charger, just keep them in rotation.

Three questions for you, Master Hanna.

I. I have just bought 5 HH. 357s (3 Red 1,5; the last ones in stock, and 2 2,5, black and ss) from Avid, and was wondering if they would include your latest coil carefully-separeted arrangement... !? Just out of curiosity;

II. I am curious about the differences between custom 357s and regular ones, if meant for PG-VG combined e-liquids...

III. I have read from the host to Click Bang! that your concept involves the Venturi's Principle. I am not a technical guy myself, so cannot really see how this works within the atty. However, I would love it if you were so kind as to describe to me how this principle works inside an HH, because ONE I am curious, and TWO I think I might develop further awareness of what's going on in my atty and, in return, take further control over its rythm, if that makes sense...
(Oh! And sorry if this has been posted; Have not read the entire thread... In which case you could point me in the direction of the data... Please !?)

Thanks in advance, and, I just wanted you to know that some fellow vapers and I think your design is PERFECT. The 357 is The Beast !!! You are a genius. We truly admire you and wish you the best !!!

=)

the VG atty and PG atty have a different grade filler in them to allow faster wicking (flow of juice to the coil) along with changes in the way the atomizer and coil are wrapped in this filler to allow thicker VG juice to flow up through and around the coil.

III. I have read from the host to Click Bang! that your concept involves the Venturi's Principle. I am not a technical guy myself, so cannot really see how this works within the atty. yes! it is very similar to a venturi, where as air flows through more of a restriction it speeds up, when it is sped up in the right spot it starts to pull the surrounding juice inward and up through the center of the ceramic cup while the vacuum above the cup pulls juice around the sides of the cup.

I cant go into exactly how I wrap it in detail, of course if you take it apart you can see it all wrapped up in the SS wool, but there is more than meets the eye. The SS wool is a great filler but the reason I use it is it allows me to create the best venturi unlike the nickel foam used in most other atomizers.

Glad to hear you like the idea behind the 357 and please let me know if you have any issues with your new hh.357 venturimizers ;)

Got my first HH 357 thanks to some prodding by MWA. I have been a carto user for almost a year and a half, well those days may be over. Finally an atty that does what it should. Flavor, vapor are off the chart. Thanks to MWA, Avid and especially Hanna!

One question I do have is, I got the 2.0, when will the 1.5s be back in stock?
