Well it wasn't exactly slow at my place yesterday... at least not at first...
( 'Nita... to save you some time you can skip to the end where I summarize it all.... )
I suppose things really started last week after my last mow where we got over the course of the next 7 days... about 5.46" of rain... resulting in almost that much growth on the lawn for this weekend. Not to mention the main road coming into my neighborhood getting washed out on one of those days from the over 3.5" in one of the storms that passed
through... but I digress
So I got up and checked the forecast, wanted to mow well before noon just to avoid another possible shower... that turns out didn't happen until almost midnight really making my efforts to get at things early rather fruitless... there I go digressing again... got started with the trimming on the lawn about 10:30a well before it had time to dry... after the first strip of mowing, I had to go up one notch on the wheels or I'd never had gotten through. Finished up the front lawn and thought I'd check my battery... almost used it up and I hadn't even finished 1/2 of the work. About that time, the neighbors got started on theirs... I begged one of them to bring their brush hog in from their farm... but my pleadings fell on deaf ears it seemed. Luckily... I'd started charging my smaller battery from my string trimming I'd done earlier... So I took a small break while it finished topping off... once done I went back out, I moved the wheels up another notch on the mower so my little battery had a chance of finishing the job and proceeded to knock out the backyard.
Now the main reason I hadn't mentioned all of this yesterday... is I was whooped for most of the rest of the day... I was pretty certain if a certain chimp had heard I'd finished my yard... she'd had batted her eyelashes at me and wondered when I'd get her lawn done...
(... 'Nita, you can finish up from here ... )
... other than that, it was pretty slow here... just did a little binge watching of the TV Show "Numbers" and watched for the rain to start again...
