Since I've spent the last week preparing, I've not been on to say hello and let everyone know that the local post office is closed on Saturday and Monday, so all orders will ship out as soon as they reopen. We are well stocked and I am hoping for this thing to die down a bit more before landing. Since we are just to the north west of Orlando, many of the paths have Irma going right over us. For those of you also dealing with the potential of Irma, I wish you all the best and hope the worst misses everyone.

Sorry for being out most of the day... Just got back from yet another friends funeral and the get together we had afterwords.

A couple of the "kids" ( from the group and from the one that passed ) were there... They aren't kids anymore! I had to ask which one was her ( the one that passed away ) son... he's taller than she was and she was tall. Another was with the ones that headed over to the bar that we'd play at ( remember most are musicians etc ), and I asked one guy what's your name... another son of one of the bass players I know but he's now 41 yrs old ( not to mention plays drums in a band )... just didn't recognize him since he was well under 5' last I'd seen him... :D

I officially feel like an old fart now...

The tract is now even further west than it was this morning... downside is that it now is forecasted to go over Tampa which is close by where Classy is :(

Yes you did... :)

That tract I posted shows it going about 4-5 miles to your west but considering that will likely change by morning and then later again as it gets closer to you ... a general area is fine when just discussing forecasts since they aren't perfect anyway.

For that matter... with how wide of an area a hurricane affects... I'm not sure it matters. The eye of a hurricane is what about 20-30 miles wide, the hurricane force winds are 100+ miles wide, tropical force even wider and affects the area it's in for hours... Just mind boggling compared to a really really wide tornado that is around just a mile wide and passes by in minutes.
