Didn't know that. Thanks.

Mostly I refer to Apple's practice of charging, "extra for the lice, ten percent for looking in the mirror twice" to quote "Master of the House". I just remember the release of the original iPhone and they cost a fortune due to all the flippers reselling them at astronomical prices.

Heck, I wouldn't mind "Well, it will be released at x time and if you want to order, we'll get it to you on y date." Even if it's next spring.

But if this is the way they want to do it, well, I have been looking at getting a Reo. Don't like the fact it's a mech, but it can't be that hard to build one. Especially since I have access to a 3d printer, a soldering iron, a 'scope and all that good stuff.

And here I was whining about my b&m being 40mins away. I shall go back to my corner and shut up. Lol.

And since we are talking about apple, hell, I would be happy if they do smth similar to what apple does: when a new iteration launches, drop the price of the original (v2.5) a tad (maybe 10 to 20?), then launch the new version (p3) at a higher price.

A ballpark between 200 to 250 would still be a high end product for the vast majority of the vaping market, and well out of reach for many IMO. Certainly not smth I would call "mainstream".

Above 250... I'm just gonna sit here and envy those who have picked one up.

A lot has changed since the first iPhone, which I think we can ALL agree truly changed the world of cell phones. Apple has learned a lot and they work very hard to make the launch of a new product a fair process for anyone who wants to buy one.

They'll be announcing the newest iPhone 6 on September 9th. Pre-orders will open about a week later, with guaranteed pricing and they ship them all to be received on the same day. It's very fair. Of course they open pre-orders at the same time across America (Midnight PST). In order to not lose out if you want one, you do need to get online as soon as orders open, which means on the east coast, I'll be getting up in the middle of the night, ordering the phone with the options I want, but then I'll know I've got a confirmed order and the exact date I'll get mine.

I'll say this again. Provape if you're listening, you could learn a lot from how Apple launches a new product. I would encourage you to favor the customer in your launch.

I can feel that to. I have owned apple products for over 20 years. and I have always bought used. mainly because I am young. and they are expensive. but you pay for what you get. my eMac ran for 12 years. I replaced the hard drive twice. and thats saying something for a computer. but there are plenty of authorized resellers of apple products nowadays. we used to be limited to 2 different places that sold authorized and used Macs. still to this day, I own mac. because they work. day in and day out. I do not buy on launch day tho. I know their tricks. I remember the customer service before they blew up. and it was amazing. way before the iPhone. they sent DHL to my house with a box for my original iPod. 7 days later they sent DHL back to my house with a new iPod. all under warranty.

the serious part of it is this tho, all of the prover dealers are on Provapes website. every one. you can click and scroll to each one. get their number. call them. and ask if they are willing to sale to you and ship. it is just that easy. maybe Provapes is trying to do something here that we are not seeing. no reason to bash them for it tho. just need to get smart and find a way to get what we want , when we want it...using their rules. i would rather do that than complain about their methods. all will come to light tho.

Cool Vapes in Flowood MS is an authorized Provari dealer. and they are willing to help ANY customer, at any time. that has been my dealings with them since they opened their shop. don't believe me, give them a call. and find out just how awesome some of the vape shops out here are.

Lol. 40 minutes? Drive across 2 states & 24 hours. Then we'll talk. :D

I'll bet I've got you beat on the closest moose though! That's how our mail is delivered. USPM - United States Postal Moose. They're awful cranky when a package requires a signature though.

If it really were about this, I'd have my wife get one from Vape Dojo. (They have great prices and from talking with some of their folks, seem really cool.) Not that I'd be likely to actually get the thing once she tried it! That was the primary reason I was looking at getting a P3 and wanted it by Christmas. So I could play swap around with her, depending on which one she wanted. I wanted to get her a treat for joining me on the vaping bandwagon.

The biggest thing with me and Mac is charging for everything and the protectionism. Banning bitcoin apps, banning 'adult' apps, banning emulation apps, banning home made apps if you don't pay at least $100 a year for the privilege. Gah.

For me it's about corporate ethics and respect for real customers, not people looking to flip a product to make a buck. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying people shouldn't try to make a dollar when handed a chance like this, but I also don't have any obligation to play that game.

This device seems really awesome. my parents have the 2.5, and have for a while, They still have no idea what the error codes mean. This not only tells you what the problem is, it gives you a fix. Now only if there was a tank that could do that:p it also tells you when to clean your device! My parents don't get how to mess with them, no matter how many times I explain it.
No this device isn't for everyone, mainly the cloud chasers. for someone who wants a easy no nonsense device from a solid company, known for creating durable and beautiful device, this is probably it.

I am a bit disappointed by its look. None of the iconic body dimples or grooves we have come to know as the Provari look. It looks just like most other mods. If not for the OLED Display it looks a lot like a mechanical mod.
But the electrical engineering seems to be top notch. As expected from ProVape.

I have a feeling very few of these will make it into the hands of consumers at a reasonable cost. Some greedy B&M owners will throw these up on eBay for an inflated cost. Just like they did with the dragon. And people will pay just to say they have it first. No different than when the Playstation 3 came out back in 2006. They were selling for $1500 plus.

I can't help but wonder what version they'll be on when my any four V2's finally spit the bit. Two-plus years and the damn etching hasn't even worn off yet.

C'mon guys, you're supposed to be getting long in the tooth. Would you PLEASE get on with it?! Uncooperative little spitheads...

Here I sit, waiting {sigh}.

+1 The day the Dragon was announced I went to the largest B&M in Vegas which is an authorized Vari dealer. Already heard about their history since 2009 and only visited this shop a few times. I was no one special. They had not heard so I left my name and number and told them to call me when they arrive and I will purchase one. Didn't even ask the price. About a month later BINGO! Full sized with blue led. They only got two and had literally dozens of requests but they honored my request. Cost was $248 which includes a hefty sales tax.

I will be happy to help this dealer Beta test if he needs me. I will also leave my data for the final version and I'm quite confident that the dealer will honor the request. Painting B&Ms with a broad brush as flippers and or abusers is specious at best. Yes their are a few flakes like any other business so perform your due diligence. WE should all be happy that they get to Beta test. Makes for a more refined product and gives them the opportunity to go hands on and learn about the P3 so they have product knowledge when they sell and support the device. Customers like me get to hold it. Test my toppers and provide input. It builds a brand for both parties and of course creates "buzz" via word of mouth. It's also a quasi focus group to measure the popularity of the P3 with NEW users who have never owned a Vari before. This point (NEW users) is critical in the health and very existence of a business. What's not to like!

That would be awesome and would tip the scales enough for me to get one.
Same mindset.... over 250 and I'll sit back and be happy with the 2.5 and mini i own and use my DNA and mech for more power. 250 and below and i'll get one with a big giant smile on my face.

Also, i have a b&m near me as hemptation does and ill second his offer. Contact me and ill put you in touch with them, they will handle the transaction via phone and get it out to you.

People, settle down with the wild speculation about the high prices, already..

I'm sure ProVape was well aware ahead of time that any info they provided to others had the potential to be further passed on.. And if they didn't want any particular details known, they wouldn't have shared it at the time..

I won't name my source, but as I mentioned before, I have it on good authority that they're looking at around $250.. I'm guessing that final price will be like +/- $20, depending on certain factors -- for a range of $230 to $270.. I'm also guessing that this is "ProVape direct" price, i.e., when it becomes available at their website.. An authorized dealer may very well be charging higher...

Anyway, I'm sure ProVape will be doing whatever they can to push the price as low as they reasonably can..

Also keep in mind that a 5%-10% sale if it's going for $250, for example, would bring it to $225 - $237.50.. For reference: List price for gunmetal w/ blue LED & extension? $234.90

Bottom line: If you have to have it yesterday, there's a pretty good chance you'll pay up.. And if you can wait a bit, you'll probably get a better deal...
