Brought it home a little while ago. Dual coil Stillaire clone at 1.3 ohms is perfect at 14.7 watts. And it'll vape that way from beginning to end of the battery charge unlike the now topless mech sitting nearby. Pleased with the P3 so far for sure.

Is that a beta ½ fast? I can't tell if it has the diamonds or not...either way I'm extremely jealous

Not a beta. It's the regular P3.. Local dealer ordered it for me Thursday. Came in today.
Mine was (at least I think) shipped from the Mother Ship to my local vape store, which I'm hoping I get a call tomorrow to tell me I can come pick it up!

No, these are completely different. The dna40 uses non resistance nickel wire for coil builds, which increases resistance as it heats up, and this is how the temperature is measured and limited by the device decreasing the wattage once that temperature limit is met. These coils have to range between 0.1 and 1 ohm to work properly. The provari cannot fire these, and nobody should try because the ohms of these coils fluctuate drastically and the new dna chips are accounting for that.
The provari chip monitors the temperature of the chip itself to ensure that the actual device isn't overheating (think battery venting). All provari's have this capability, as do dna chips.
That's probably all the more comparison between the new evolv chips and the new p3 chips that we need in this thread and shouldn't really be discussed any further, although I did choose a vaporshark rdna40 over the p3 for my next big expenditure. I'll see a p3 down the road though
The P3 is nice, that's for sure, but I'm officially out. The 2.5 is perfect for a kayfun, no more is needed at all in any way to get the most out of a kayfun, and I'm not putting a dripper on a 20 watt P3. My nod has to go to a DNA40 device, it just has to.
Have you used a Kayfun on a P3, for any extended period of time?
While you are right that a v2.5/Kayfun set up is like a match made in heaven, the P3 really does make it better.
Imagine: Someone making you your favorite dish, following your Grandmother's recipe...now compare that to your Grandmother making the dish herself...
Obviously I'm using cooking and Grandmothers as metaphors...but I think I've made the point quite clearly.
I also agree with you not putting a dripper on the P3, as more than enough people have expressed their feelings that the P3 is too underpowered to handle a dripper. But that's just an example of personal opinion, and doesn't mean the P3 is underpowered in any way...just that it won't work for some people's preferred application...which is fine, because the "if you don't like it, don't buy it" and "nobody is forcing you to buy it" conversations have already been covered.
Why Not? My Tugboat is working just fine with 26Ga build at 1.5 Ohms (single coil). 14.4 W is DELICIOUS!!!!!
And My XPure works great at 18.5W on a double coil 28Ga at 1.2 Ohms...

For those of you that are on a quest to build the biggest, badest multi-coil sub-ohm setup- because it's what you want to do, it's ok to leave the room.
For everyone else, I have to disagree with the guys saying you can't/shouldn't put a dripper on the P3.
Here my very real experience. running two drippers (TugBoat and a Xpure on a P3 with the 3.5 software) -- I've been running them since Saturday afternoon....
With the builds I have now, both work great - You just have to understand/live within the limits... True if your interested in running a dual 24Ga coil this is not the device for you ... but, as long as your builds live within 6V, 20W and 5.5A (that's a 30% increase in power over the 2.5), there's a lot of space for very healthy cloud production - BTW, from what I can tell, this is in the sweet spot for most flavors..... Again, I'm not suggesting that the P3 is the penultimate cloud chaser but it's no slouch and plenty capable of running a dripper. It's still my choice if I had to have one device or was out and about and wanted to only take 1 device with me - and it's got plenty of headroom for most of today's toppers ..., BTW: My wife just booted me from the kitchen for fogging her out, and forever banned the P3/Tugboat setup from the dinner table.
IMO, this is the next evolutionary step for the Provari and it's worthy of bearing the name.... I'm enjoying mine...

I've been dripping on a P3 for 24+ hours so far. Enjoying it too. Good vapor, good flavor. I am being careful to keep my device from reading any threads saying you can't drip on a P3. Don't want to offend its sensibilities after all.

Definitely don't tell your P3. What it doesn't know won't hurt it....
Hmm, not a P'vari but 1.4Ω - 15W and quite a vape too√ Yep, sub-Ohming with regulated is so passé

@qorax - Subohm isn't necessary - there's a point of diminishing returns where More != Better and you can get there with the P3...
but there must be something wrong with your set up... look at all the vapor I have on the P3!!!!! Mine goes to 11!!!!!..
