They named it Russian 91% because according to their measurements it is 9% shorter than the regular (R91 against Russian, and KFL against kayfun.)

Ping, I'm getting whatever color Peter purchased a little over a year ago. There are three finished I'm aware of - Sandblasted, Polished and Black. I suspect it's the sandblasted finish, which should compliment the SS P3 quite nicely.
LOL about me becoming the Master of RBA's! Not very likely, but at least I'm no longer fearful of building a coil, or re-wicking one either!
I like the Cotton Bacon, but I admittedly have little experience with other cottons. It works well and doesn't seem to add any odd flavor to the vape! I bought it because it's what my local vape shop sells. When I'm ready to buy cotton again, I may go online looking, but so far Bacon is good with breakfast and my KFL+!

When I started vaping I wanted to have the best but also the cheapest, and did my homework researching, reading, watching videos, reviews, etc.
At that time I started with a Zeus from V4L, instead of eGo's, and then as I could afford a lil bit more I got my first ProVari, and some tanks and drippers. Then I went to mechanicals, then more advanced regulated devices and now I have a fair share of hardware, and I love my ProVaris, my Kayfuns, and my drippers.
In my vaping journey I've always avoided clones and such, but I did get a Russian due to their reputation and being considered kinda authentic.

I believe the polished is the newest member of the Russians. I would think you are getting the sandblasted, which does match the satin P3.

I'm a really good example of someone learning new tricks. Yes I am! There was a time when I did proclaim I would NEVER build coils or get into RBA's EVER. Now look at me. I love my KFL+ and I'm getting a Russian 91 from Peter. I will never buy a RBA that says it's a Kayfun, unless it's built by SvoeMesto. But I don't quite put the Russian in the total clone category. Like you I'm interested in it because it has a sterling reputation and it is an Authentic Russian (which as you said, is 'kinda authentic).

Will y'all let me know how the bacon differs from KGD? I have a lot of KGD, but if there's a marked improvement with cotton bacon, I'll give it a go!

Maybe Ping will be able to tell you when he get's his or R can if he's used both, but I can't as I've never used KGD. I'm going to take a wild guess that the difference if any, is likely little to imperceptible. A good quality, clean of impurities cotton should do it's job without imparting any flavor of it's own. At least that's what I think it should do.
RB, try this...super cheap, super good and you can cut strips to suit your size microcoil

I'm still there (here), til the 29th. Haven't had any real bacon since I arrived at the 6th...

And everything points towards Scotland in June for me.
I've tried both, yes. Well, as RB stated, the difference is little. Sometimes I don't feel any at all. Its soft,white (KGD is brownish), very fine, very easy to wick with. Rayon is a bit springy, for example.

On a side note, my P3 is having issues with the update... :/ VapeEscape wrote today:

You might be surprised here Ping. Seems the pouch of Cotton Bacon I bought is going to last a good long time. Yes it is!
Man, R......that's not good. I'm sure the good folks at Provape will get it sorted quickly for you, so here's hoping it doesn't need a trip across the pond.
